Agatha All Along episode runtimes revealed (and they might surprise you)

As a seasoned gamer and Marvel enthusiast who’s seen more superhero content than I care to count, I must say that I’m genuinely intrigued by the upcoming Disney Plus series, Agatha All Along. The spinoff from WandaVision brings back Kathryn Hahn as the wickedly delightful Agatha Harkness, and with Aubrey Plaza joining the fray, it promises to be a wild ride.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m buzzing with excitement over Marvel Studios’ latest triumphs with Deadpool and Wolverine. But here’s the real kicker – they’re not done yet! They’re aiming to replicate that success on the small screen too, and their next move? None other than the Disney Plus series, Agatha All Along. I can hardly wait!

In the continuation or offshoot of “WandaVision,” we find Kathryn Hahn reprising her role as Agatha Harkness, the cunning witch who feigned friendliness as Agnes, Wanda’s neighbor, only to attempt seizing the Scarlet Witch’s power. However, after Wanda imprisoned her true self within the character she portrayed, things took a turn for the worse for Agatha. But following an unexpected meeting with a cryptic figure (portrayed by Aubrey Plaza) after Wanda’s supposed demise, Agatha will strive to regain control once more.

Audience members are curious about the upcoming series, given how groundbreaking “WandaVision” was in terms of its format and length. But the trailers indicate an exhilarating experience awaits us. Yet, the runtimes for the initial four episodes have been revealed, which presents a rather intriguing scenario.

Agatha All Along’s first four episodes runtime revealed

Now, we’ve got some hints about the duration of Agatha’s future escapades. The runtime details for the initial four episodes of “Agatha All Along” have been disclosed. A reliable source, Twitter account Scarlet Witch Updates, has shared this information, having accurately leaked details in the past. According to their recent post, here are the episode lengths:

Episode 1: 39 minutes, 49 seconds
Episode 2: 41 minutes, 25 seconds
Episode 3: 37 minutes, 2 seconds
Episode 4: 40 minutes, 52 seconds

What’s interesting about these runtimes is that they likely include the end-credits (which can be up to five minutes long on Disney Plus shows), so that means each one of them will be much shorter without credits. And that puts them on par with She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, the earlier episodes of WandaVision, and What If…? as some of the shortest Marvel TV episodes (specifically the third, which will seemingly runf or just 32 minutes without credits).

While it’s common for Marvel series to vary their episode lengths (like Loki occasionally airing episodes around 35 minutes), most other shows tend to have longer episodes, usually between 42 and 60 minutes. However, Agatha seems to be adopting a different approach by aiming for shorter runtimes compared to the usual MCU show length.

This strategy is quite shrewd. The episodes of “WandaVision” were perfectly paced, entering and exiting swiftly, leaving viewers eager for more without overstaying their welcome. Many subsequent MCU shows have faced challenges with this balance, so it’s clear that adopting a concise yet impactful approach, like “Agatha All Along” has done, is indeed a wise choice.

As a gamer, I’m excited about this upcoming show because it seems to be building on some familiar elements from its predecessor, combining music and horror in unique ways. Instead of trying to cram everything into a single film, as a TV show, it can explore these themes more deeply. This could potentially make it one of the standout series on Disney Plus.

Additionally, keep in mind that the series “Agatha All Along” spans across nine episodes. As we approach its final episodes, there’s a good chance that the episode lengths might extend.

Starting this coming Wednesday, the mysterious show will make its appearance on Disney Plus, airing simultaneously at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time and 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time, offering viewers a unique double episode launch.
