Vanessa Hudgens’ husband Cole Tucker finally reveals the gender of their second child

Vanessa Hudgens and her husband, Cole Tucker, have announced the sex of their baby, who was born two months ago.

During a January 13th interview on the Baseball Isn’t Boring podcast, the 29-year-old former MLB player revealed to host Rob Bradford that he and his partner have both a son and a daughter, after being asked directly about their children.

Tucker and his 37-year-old partner, a former child star, have decided to keep their newborn daughter’s and 18-month-old son’s names and photos private.

‘I’m in the fight,’ the biracial baseballer joked of being a father-of-two.

I was so surprised when I found out my son swings and throws with his left hand! My wife is absolutely thrilled – she’s really embraced being the team mom for his T-ball league, you know how it is. It’s just adorable watching him hit the ball off the tee!

The 6’3″ athlete shared that his young child is already showing a knack for several activities, including golf, basketball, and playing instruments like the drums, piano, and guitar.

‘My wife and I want to expose him to as much as we can, you know?’ Tucker explained.

We want to give him every opportunity and will support whatever path he chooses. Whether he wants to become a dentist, start a business, teach, or even pursue a career as a musician, we’re happy as long as he’s happy and we’re very accepting of his choices.

The guest drummer for Champagne Lane and Vanessa Hudgens both faced people telling them they wouldn’t succeed in their dreams – baseball for him, acting for her. Fortunately, they both had parents who encouraged them along the way.

‘I don’t want [my son] to feel like he has any pressure to be a baseball player,’ Tucker said.

I wouldn’t want him to feel he has to follow in my footsteps and reach the major leagues just because I did. That kind of pressure would be awful, but if it’s truly what he wants, I’m all in.

The Arizonan with long hair will return to hosting on MLB Network Radio next April when the baseball season begins.

After playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2019 to 2022, the Colorado Rockies in 2023, and the Los Angeles Angels in 2024, Tucker retired from professional baseball last year.

The father, smiling, explained he’s been getting a lot of exercise by walking – often up and down hills, which feels similar to pushing a sled. He feels like he’s in good shape, considering he’s a dad.

I’m getting back in shape from all the time I spend crawling around with my kids. It’s not exactly yoga, but it’s similar!

On December 2, Tucker and the half-Filipina beauty celebrated their second wedding anniversary.

They started dating in 2020 after connecting through a Zoom meeting at Joe Jonas’ online meditation group.
