Pokémon UNITE to get an official launch in China this November 2024
As a gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt and a keen interest in all things Pokémon, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming launch of Pokémon UNITE in China! Having followed its development since its initial announcement back in 2021, it’s been quite the journey waiting for this moment.
Finally, after a long-anticipated wait spanning a couple of years, it’s official: Pokémon UNITE is coming to China! This highly popular MOBA title was initially announced globally back in August 2021 and had its release on September 22nd the same year. Now, I can’t wait to jump into the action with my fellow Chinese gamers!
Pokémon UNITE China version might pack new features compared to the global
Following its global launch, there was much excitement for the Chinese version of Pokémon UNITE. In December 2022, China granted approval for Pokémon UNITE alongside 83 other games, revealing that the domestic server was already underway. However, it wasn’t until October 2023 that we saw the initial step: pre-registrations were made available.
Under the official endorsement from Pokémon and created by Tencent’s TiMi Studios, the Chinese version of Pokémon Unite is being developed for a region-specific release within China. This localized adaptation will conform to the country’s regulations, although it may not exhibit significant gameplay alterations compared to the worldwide edition. However, minor differences and potential additions of exclusive features are anticipated in this regional variant.
Earlier it was noted that the game’s pre-registration is now open to all. Players based in China can access this by visiting the official Android website or the iOS App Store prior to the game’s official release. Pre-registering for the game offers exclusive benefits, as detailed below, before its formal launch.
