Kerry Washington cut a typically chic figure as she stepped out in NYC on Friday.
47-year-old actress from Scandal, who has recently demonstrated her pole dancing abilities, displayed her stunning physique in a pink outfit as she promoted the second season of her Hulu comedy series, UnPrisoned.
She wore a tightly-fitted pastel pink corset top adorned with a rose petal design, along with a matching pencil skirt.
Her raven locks were tied back in a slicked back middle parted bun.
The Bronx native teamed her look with designer sunglasses and blush pink stiletto heels.
Kerry seemed cheerful as she gracefully held a stylish pink handbag from a designer label, adorned with delicate gold accessories.
With excitement, she gestured toward a digital advertisement showcasing her and her fellow actor Faly Rakotohavana, aged 21, promoting the newest season of their successful 2023 TV series.
On a recent edition of Good Morning America, the victor of the BET Awards shared insights into the theme of their series ‘UnPrisoned’, as well as revealing the storyline for its upcoming second season.
She shared: ‘I love UnPrisoned, it’s such a special show. It’s really like a father-daughter comedy. It’s about a dad who was imprisoned for most of my character’s life and he comes to live with me and my teenage son.
In simpler terms, ‘Delroy Lindo portrays my father in this production. He’s one of my favorite actors, and we’re really enjoying working together. The show is incredibly engaging; viewers can’t get enough. They consume it so rapidly that they end up binge-watching it.’
The actress explained that the upcoming season will touch more on ‘serious’ issues.
‘What I love about really important issues. Like really stuff that matters… about criminal justice, about family, about love but it’s funny,’ she added. ‘We’re telling the story with a lot of levity and joy.’
Kerry hinted that the upcoming eight-episode series will feature both boxing matches and pole dancing acts, promising an exciting spectacle for the fans.
She shared: ‘Last season we had a dance battle on the show that was such a hit we new we had to go outside the box again for this season. We have a great, hilarious wresting match that we trained very hard for.
She mentioned that her character attends a pole dancing workshop, which means you can expect some fantastic scenes in the future, she added.
Season two of UnPrisoned is now available for streaming on Hulu.
Kerry is set to star in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, which began filming last month.
She’s a highly skilled actress, having garnered multiple Primetime Emmy Awards and nominations, as well as five NAACP Image Awards and a Teen Choice Award to her credit.
In terms of her family, she has three children, a teenage stepdaughter, and a nine-year-old daughter named Isabelle, along with a six-year-old son Caleb. These children are shared with her husband of ten years, who is a former NFL player named Nnamdi Asomugha.
