As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but be intrigued by the latest revelation from Rebellion – Atomfall. Having lived through the turbulent times of Chernobyl and Three Mile Island, the post-nuclear setting immediately resonates with me.
The latest trailer for Atomfall, a future survival shooter, was unveiled by Rebellion, as they moved up its expected release date to March 2025.
In the five years following the actual occurrence of the Windscale disaster in 1957, the narrative of Atomfall unfolds within an imaginary isolation area, situated amidst the picturesque English countryside, including hills, valleys, caves, and a tranquil village named Wyndham.
In this idyllic landscape painted on a postcard, there’s a hidden puzzle that beckons me – a mystery shrouded in darkness. This seemingly peaceful setting hides military camps, deserted bunkers, and remnants of ancient Pagan ruins, each brimming with secrets and survivors. Some of these enigmatic figures may not welcome my presence with open arms.
Luckily, a variety of melee and distant combat weapons will be at your fingertips, essential for you to learn if you aim to stay alive. The game Atomfall is scheduled to launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC in March 2025, and can be accessed through Game Pass.
