Emily in Paris stars want a Sex in the City crossover

As a seasoned gamer who has binge-watched countless hours of romantic comedies, I can confidently say that a crossover between Emily in Paris and Sex and the City would be nothing short of a dream come true! The fashion, the witty banter, the love triangles – it’s all too tempting to resist.

As a dedicated fan, I’d absolutely love to imagine a scenario where Emily from “Emily in Paris,” played by the talented Lily Collins, and Gabriel, portrayed by Lucas Bravo, could team up with the fabulous foursome from the iconic 1990s series, “Sex and the City.” What a dream crossover that would be!

Since Emily in Paris premiered on Netflix in 2020, there has been plenty of discussion about similarities between the two shows. Both programs exhibit a penchant for vibrant, quirky fashion choices and a knack for complicating the romantic entanglements of their main characters.

It’s quite likely that these romantic comedies share common traits as they were all conceived by Darren Star, the same creative mind behind the Sex and the City spinoff, And Just Like That.

After the initial part of season 4 of “Emily in Paris” was released, Collins and Bravo thought it would be a perfect fit if their two shows were to intersect.

Collins recently shared with IMDb that, while it may seem predictable, his honest response would be “Sex and the City” since he finds many similarities between the show’s themes and his own experiences.

On his end, Bravo expressed his wish for Kim Cattrall to return as Samantha Jones in a brief appearance set in Paris.

Previously, we discussed the possibility of including Kim Cattrall in the series “Emily in Paris“, and Bravo mentioned this.

He went on to say, “This suggests she has a significant part to play, and she should agree to this proposal.”

“But I’ve been floating all day and dreaming about that opportunity and I hope it happens.”

Since Samantha is already residing in London, it’s quite feasible for the PR executive to journey to Paris, often referred to as the “City of Lights”, as it’s relatively close by.

In the second season of “And Just Like That”, Sarah Jessica Parker’s character reconnected for a short phone call, but it appears doubtful that Cattrall will make more appearances in the upcoming continuation of the “Sex and the City” franchise.

You can currently watch seasons 1 through 3 of Emily in Paris on Netflix. Meanwhile, season 4 part 1 is already available for streaming, and season 4 part 2 will be released on Thursday, September 12.
