Kate Garraway shouts “come back” as co-star walks off Good Morning Britain

As a long-time fan of Good Morning Britain (GMB), I must say that the banter between Kate Garraway and Adil Ray never fails to entertain me. Their playful back-and-forth is reminiscent of the friendly rivalry you’d find in a local pub, where each round of drinks is met with good-natured teasing.

On the set of “Good Morning Britain,” Kate Garraware had to call out loudly for her colleague Adil Ray to return, as he had stepped away from the show.

Today on the ITV morning program (August 21), Kate playfully poked fun at her co-presenter following a comment regarding the River Thames.

During a sneak peek at their forthcoming segment about water pollution on the program, Adil confessed, “The river close to where I reside in London, which has been impacted…”

Unable to resist, Kate joked: “That’s the Thames… what that river near you in London?”

After that, Adil faced the camera, displaying a rather displeased expression, while his fellow presenter erupted in laughter. In response, Kate apologized, saying, “I’m really sorry, but it seems I’m not myself this morning. I guess I’ve just gotten a bit too excited.”

After that, Adil stood up and started to leave the set, with Kate shouting: “Stay here! Stay here!” or “You’re not leaving! You’re not leaving!”

Leaving the studio, Kate tried to diffuse any tension by saying playfully, “You might find yourself tuning into Good Morning Britain on ITV1. Who knows, it could be anyone hosting.”

After exiting through the door, the camera trailed Adil, but when the broadcast paused for commercials, he seemed to be turning around again, hinting that his previous actions might have been just a joke.

Yesterday, I was thrilled to see that Sean Fletcher stepped up as a substitute for Richard Madeley on Good Morning Britain, filling in alongside Susanna Garraway when our beloved regular host had to take a day off due to illness. It was great to witness such a seamless transition!

“Apologies for any disappointment, folks! It appears that Richard Madeley was hoping to join us today too, but unfortunately, he’s under the weather. However, don’t worry – we’ve got the terrific Sean standing in, which is great news!” Kate shared with viewers.

As a passionate fan, I can’t help but feel invigorated, as if I’ve stepped out from the sidelines and onto the field. It’s an immense pleasure for me to lend my support whenever needed.

Afterward, many admirers highly commended Sean for his performance as the host, even going as far as proposing that he could be a continuous host permanently.

Good Morning Britain airs weekday mornings on ITV.
