A preview has been released of who will host this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live UK. The new British version of the famous American comedy show launched last weekend, featuring SNL veteran Tina Fey as its first guest host.
Similar to the American version, each episode will feature a different guest host. This Saturday, actor Jamie Dornan, known for Fifty Shades, will host alongside the band Wolf Alice.
A short preview clip has been released for this weekend’s show, featuring Jamie Dornan getting ready for the program. He’s surprised to learn that cast member Al Nash is a finalist to become the next James Bond.
Okay, so this actor from Barb and Star, he was clearly a little jealous, but he tried to do this super serious James Bond impression – you know, the whole ‘the name’s Bond…’ thing. But then Nash totally one-upped him with this hilarious Kermit the Frog-style Bond, and it was way better!
Originally, SNL UK was planned for six episodes. However, it was recently announced that the show will now consist of eight episodes, each lasting 75 minutes.

I was so excited for the first episode, and it did not disappoint! They had some hilarious sketches, including spot-on impressions of Keir Starmer and even Princess Diana. Plus, they surprised us with appearances from Graham Norton, and Bridgerton stars Nicola Coughlan and Regé-Jean Page – it was amazing!
Reviews were generally positive, with The Telegraph giving it four stars and calling it surprisingly well-made. They noted that predictions of the show failing didn’t come true.

According to The Guardian, the show has the potential to improve significantly. While it wasn’t perfect at the start, it could have been much worse. As the team gets more comfortable and viewers tune in over the next few weeks, we can expect to see the show find its footing, with recurring characters and a stronger connection between the cast and the audience.
According to The Independent, the first episode of SNL UK showed the show isn’t afraid to be bold and even a little shocking. While using a format already popular in America might seem unoriginal, there are hints of new ideas that could make the show feel unique.
However, Deadline didn’t have a good opinion of it, describing it as both painful and seriously lacking in humor.
Next week on the show, Riz Ahmed, known for his role in Sound of Metal, will be the host, and the band Kasabian will perform as musical guests.
Saturday Night Live UK (SNL UK) broadcasts live on Sky at 10pm and is available to stream on NOW in the UK. In the US, you can watch it on Peacock starting the next day.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant, full-colour magazine dedicated to Harry Styles, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
