FBI adds a new series regular to Season 7 (get the details)

As a long-time fan of FBI, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation as we approach Season 7! The addition of Lisette Olivera to the cast is a welcome one, and her character, Syd, brings a fresh dynamic to the team. Her role as a Behavioral Analysis Unit Agent feels reminiscent of Criminal Minds, which I must admit, has me eagerly awaiting some BAU-style investigations!

A fresh face has been added to the cast of FBI for Season 7, with Lisette Olivera set to make an appearance.

According to the latest Deadline article, it appears that Olivera won’t be replacing anyone in the current team. Instead, she seems set to introduce a fresh character who joins the New York office alongside the existing team members. This development is exciting for fans as it suggests the team composition will remain largely unchanged.

Who will Lisette Olivera play in FBI Season 7?

In this scenario, Olivera will assume the position of Syd, an expert Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) agent, who will join the field team to aid with investigations. Essentially, you could say that FBI is borrowing a touch of the crime-solving techniques from Criminal Minds, even though the shows don’t share the same universe. However, it’s worth noting that the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) does indeed exist within the FBI.

Since she is part of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU), it’s unlikely that she will assume any of the main roles, but she might lend a hand to some team members who have been dealing with mental struggles for several seasons, particularly OA and Tiffany, who appeared to struggle the most in FBI Season 6.

How many episodes will Lisette Olivera be in?

The number of episodes in the upcoming season of FBI is unclear, but as a series regular, she could potentially appear in all episodes of Season 7. However, it’s important to note that no series regular is guaranteed to be in every episode of the season.

To cut costs and save some money, you’ll notice a slight adjustment in cast members for both the FBI series and its spin-off Most Wanted. Some recurring characters may not appear in certain episodes. CBS has yet to specify exactly how many episodes these characters will be absent from, but if we follow the pattern set by the One Chicago franchise, it could mean that some characters miss two to three episodes during a season.

FBI Season 7 premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 8/7c on CBS.
