Carrie Bickmore leaves Tommy Little red-faced with her risqué choice of work attire

Carrie Bickmore has turned more than a few heads with a very risqué choice of work attire.

I was completely shocked when Carrie arrived for our show on Tuesday! She showed up looking like she was wearing lingerie – it was a real surprise to everyone, and honestly, a bit of a moment! I’ve followed her career for years, and this was definitely unexpected.

A picture posted on the Carrie & Tommy Show’s Instagram featured a woman wearing a large, bright pink t-shirt and black lace shorts.

Carrie’s co-host Tommy Little was quick to broach the topic of Carrie’s head-turning work garb.

He was shocked and asked, “Why are you wearing only lingerie to work?”

Carrie was quick to protest Tommy’s claim with: ‘You’re painting the wrong picture.’

Producer Kieran Simpson added that the upper portion was acceptable, but the lower portion was not.

Tommy continued looking at what Carrie was wearing, and remarked that he didn’t look any further down than her upper body. He described her top as something a teenage boy might wear.

“Stop,” Carrie said, cutting him off. “I’m wearing a denim jacket and a big, bright pink t-shirt. It’s not a guy.”

Undeterred, Tommy added: ‘And the bottom half is just jocks. It’s special occasion jocks.’

Carrie then explained that she decided to wear the racy attire in a bid to keep up with trends.    

Carrie received a pair of silky shorts with lace trim last week and wondered where she’d ever wear them.

Tommy cheekily replied: ‘Someone’s anniversary? Someone’s birthday?’

Carrie explained that she originally believed lace items were meant for sleepwear. However, she’d recently noticed a trend on social media of younger women wearing lace dresses and shorts as regular outfits, often paired with oversized tops or sweaters.

‘I was like: “Oh my god, you idiot. They’re not underwear, they’re what people wear out now.”‘

However, Carrie admitted that her sartorial bubble was burst when arriving for work. 

I’ve worn these to work, but my coworkers just told me they look like pajamas, or that I’m not wearing them correctly.

The conversation kept turning to Carrie’s shorts, and she finally said she wasn’t there to be judged.

Seizing the chance to make a joke, Tommy quickly replied, ‘No, you came here hoping to have fifty-dollar bills stuffed in your pants.’

Humbled, Carrie said she’d save her more flamboyant outfit for a different occasion.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure how to style them, but now I realize I won’t be wearing them for work. I’ll save them for my evening job instead,” she explained.

When Tommy asked Carrie about her extra work, she jokingly said she did ‘whatever pays while wearing these,’ gesturing to her outfit.

Then, Carrie and her partner invited listeners to share their thoughts on the picture posted to Instagram.

‘Is that OnlyFans or our page?’ Tommy asked and Carrie replied: ‘I’m going.’

This follows criticism Carrie received for her outfit at a colleague’s wedding in February.

The popular radio personality wore a beautiful cream-colored outfit from Koster Kulture – a long skirt with a thigh-high slit and a matching top – to attend the wedding of Carrie & Tommy newsreader Jesse and her partner, Caroline Varney, which took place in the countryside.

Okay, so Carrie just told us the story behind that incredible outfit, and I’m officially losing it! Apparently, she saw this amazing girl wearing it on New Year’s Day – can you even imagine?! – and she had to know where it was from. She basically asked, then totally copied the look! I mean, honestly, a queen recognizes a queen, right? It’s perfect, and now I need that outfit in my life!

The former reality TV star looked radiant as she posed with her co-host, Tommy Little, sparking continued speculation about a possible romance between them.

Some of her fans loved the outfit, calling it beautiful, while others felt it wasn’t suitable, particularly the color choice.

One person commented, hoping the bride didn’t mind the revealing color of the dress, while another simply said it was a beautiful dress, but perhaps not the best choice for a wedding.

Someone commented that the dress was beautiful, but they weren’t sure about the color or style, and hoped the bride wasn’t upset by it.
