Industry season 3 episode 2 release time and what to expect

As a seasoned fan of the financial drama “Industry,” I can confidently say that the third installment has truly outdone itself with its explosive premiere. The show continues to captivate us with its intricate plotlines, high-stakes trading, and, of course, the occasional scandal. It’s like watching a train wreck in slow motion – you know it’s not good for anyone involved, but you just can’t look away.

Finally, after a long wait, Industry returns for its third chapter, promising another thrilling ride from the get-go. This season appears to be even more explosive than the previous ones, with fresh blood at Pierpoint eager to leave their mark. Harper, Yasmin, and Robert find themselves grappling with their altered circumstances, and unfortunately for Robert, he’s recently experienced a significant loss. Following the shocking events of the Season 2 finale, we know that Harper is no longer associated with Pierpoint, but her absence from the trade doesn’t guarantee she’ll stay away.

In tonight’s episode 2 of Industry on HBO, titled “Smoke and Mirrors,” the narrative unfolds further. A key aspect this season revolves around Lumi, a green energy company that debuted publicly at the close of Season 3’s premiere. Kit Harington has joined the cast as Sir Henry Muck, Lumi’s CEO, who seems to have developed an interest in Yasmin. With tension brewing, be sure not to miss this exciting new episode airing soon!

Season 3 episode 1 recap

In the thrilling start of season 3, I find myself catapulted a tad into the future from where we left off in season 2. Harper’s switched sides and joined Anna Gearing’s FutureDawn, Yasmin’s back on Pierpoint’s bustling trading floor, while Robert, as always, remains at Pierpoint, this time focusing on Lumin’s IPO strategy. It’s a new chapter, and the stakes are higher than ever!

Regarding their personal affairs, Yasmin grapples with the limelight following her father’s embezzlement allegations and disappearance, causing her images to be everywhere in gossip magazines. Robert is in a love affair with Venetia, but he continues seeing Nicole as well, while Harper has recently started dating someone new, whose details we are still not familiar with.

In a turn of events, Eric ascends to the position of partner at Pierpoint. Throughout the series, Adler instructs Eric that he must let go of a team member, a decision that Eric hesitates over. He’s uncertain about Yasmin, but Kenny, who we discover provided shelter for Eric when his wife abandoned him, supports her. After an unexpected night out, during which Yasmin and Eric indulge in cocaine, Eric appears to align himself with Yasmin.

After spending the night with Nicole, Robert wakes up to find her deceased and covered in dried blood from her nose. Shaken to the core, he arrives at Pierpoint on IPO day and breaks down at his desk. Eric addresses him, but rather than dismissing him, he offers words of encouragement and directs him to the stock exchange to join Henry and the Lumi team. In an unexpected twist, Eric lets go of Kenny, alluding to his previous predicament with Yasmin. As Kenny gathers his belongings at his desk, he accuses Yasmin of betraying him.

In the climax of Season 3 opener, Lumi makes its public debut, yet simultaneously, the electricity fails. It wasn’t limited to the stock exchange; it plunged Pierpoint and its workers into darkness, causing them to worry as their lights flickered out, leaving us in suspense about what transpires next.

What’s next in Industry

What can we expect next? HBO has given us a glimpse into the upcoming episode of Industry through its synopsis.

Following a bumpy IPO launch, Eric scrambles to maintain control over the floor. Meanwhile, Harper forms a new work alliance, Robert suffers a devastating loss, and Yasmin’s ingenuity wins Henry’s attention.

As a seasoned business analyst with over a decade of experience under my belt, I find myself intrigued by the recent developments at Pierpoint following Lumi’s public debut. Yasmin, one of the key players in this drama, seemed anxious about the company after her client abruptly pulled out, but Kenny offered reassurance that their worries would subside post-IPO. The latest sneak peek into upcoming events suggests a growing closeness between Yasmin and Lumi’s CEO – I can’t help but wonder what his intentions might be towards her.

In the new season opener, I can’t help but feel drawn towards Petra after our chat. But, truth be told, it seems she’s far from content being Anna’s assistant. Given the circumstances, who could blame her? Yet, I’m not so sure if a quick return to her old job is on the cards. Well, only time will tell, won’t it?

One big question I have for the new season is about what happened to Jesse Bloom. He was such an important character in the second season and he’s nowhere to be found, not even in any of the previews. Speaking of, get a sneak peek at what’s next in Industry with the teaser for the weeks ahead here:
