I Dream of Jeannie star Barbara Eden, 92, looks as youthful as ever as she steps out for dinner date in Beverly Hills
As an ardent admirer of the timeless beauty and charm that is Barbara Eden, I find myself absolutely captivated by her enduring grace, even six decades after she first enchanted our screens as Jeannie. The sight of this ageless wonder, striding through life with the elegance of a modern-day goddess, leaves me in absolute awe!
The allure and grace of veteran actress Barbara Eden, reminiscent of her famed television persona, continues to endure some five decades following its initial impact on popularity.
92-year-old Barbara Eden, best known for her role in I Dream of Jeannie, looked remarkably vibrant and youthful while dining out in Los Angeles, according to pictures published by DailyMail.com.
Eden was spotted leaving celebrity hotspot The Grill On The Alley in Beverly Hills where she enjoyed a meal with two friends.
As I stood outside the restaurant, engaged in lively conversation with my friend, I found myself captured in a photograph while patiently waiting for the valet to return with my vehicle.
Her hair, falling just below her ears and the same golden hue as during her prime on television, sported delicate fringes concealing her forehead.
She donned a boat neck shirt with horizontal blue and white stripes, white split-front trousers, and a pair of blue and tan wedged heels.
She accessorized her look with beige quilted Chanel handbag and large sparkling hoop earrings.
Amazingly, Eden will celebrate her 93rd birthday on Friday, but appears decades younger.
And even at her age, she was still recognized by fans on Sunday, including one who stopped dead in their tracks before saying: ‘Oh my God, it’s Jeannie!’
She stayed true to her well-known charming persona, replying: ‘Yes, that’s me!’
At a local eatery, the two female friends dined together, accompanied by their male companion. This friend appeared cheerful as he watched Eden charmingly engage with admirers.
Eventually, the valet arrived with the group’s stylish baby blue convertible Bentley at the front, and they bid each other farewell as they parted in different directions.
‘Let’s do this again soon,’ Eden was heard telling her pals.
In interviews, Barbara credits her youthful look to regular walking, flexibility exercises, and strength training.
In an interview with Closer magazine in 2019, she said, “Moderation is key. Don’t restrict yourself, but also avoid excess.”
She relishes wine and chocolate, but she claims to counterbalance those calories by working out at the gym, openly acknowledging that she works with a personal trainer.
For four decades, The Grill On The Alley has been welcoming patrons who enjoy a powerful lunch or dinner experience.
Over the years, I’ve cultivated a long-standing relationship with a local eatery where the staff greets me warmly by name and ensures my safety as I leave after a delightful meal.
Barbara commenced her professional journey back in 1956, appearing as a guest star on several television programs. Notably, she featured in the sixth season of ‘I Love Lucy,’ specifically in the episode titled ‘Country Club Dance.’
At an otherwise dull gathering, she captivated Ricky Ricardo and Fred Mertz with her alluring portrayal of Diana Jordan, the vivacious young actress. This unexpected charm sparked new life in their otherwise mundane existence.
A woman from Tucson, Arizona, portrayed the charming yet tricky character ‘Jeannie.’ She starred alongside her fictional master, Major Nelson (played by Larry Hagman), in I Dream of Jeannie. Tragically, Hagman passed away at 81 years old in 2012.
From 1965 to 1970, this show aired, and through its broadcast in the U.S. and other countries, it propelled her to international stardom as an actress.
Her character would return in various incarnations with the 1985 TV movie I Dream Of Jeannie…Fifteen Years Later’ and the 1991 movie I Still Dream Of Jeannie.
She had success on the big screen starring opposite Elvis Presley in the 1960 film Flaming Star, and with the movie 1978 comedy Harper Valley PTA.
She’s been the lead actress in 25 full-length motion pictures, 5 prime-time television shows, and various TV movies, such as the 2009 Hallmark TV production titled “Always And Forever.”
Eden has been married to architect Jon Eicholtz, 84, her third husband, since 1991.
From 1958 to 1974, she was wedded to the actor Michael Ansara. Regrettably, their son Matthew passed away in 2001, at the young age of 35, due to a drug overdose.
Her second marriage to Charles Fegert in 1977 lasted just six years.
