Grant Denyer’s wife Chezzi reveals her daughters have inherited her gift of talking with the dead: ‘I’ve heard things that terrified me’

Chezzi Denyer believes she can talk to spirits, and now says her three daughters have developed the same unsettling gift.

Grant Denyer’s wife, age 46, has revealed she used to worry her children might inherit her ability to be psychic.

I can’t even tell you how excited I am! For years, she kept it hidden, but now she’s finally owning it – she thinks it runs in the family, and honestly, I always suspected! It’s like she’s finally being her true self, and I’m just bursting with happiness for her!

Honestly, for years I was terrified people would think I was completely nuts if I ever talked about this. It was a huge weight on my shoulders. But then I realized… it’s more crazy to keep it bottled up my whole life, especially when I saw it starting to show up in my kids. I just had to get it off my chest!

Chezzi and Grant share three daughters, Sailor, 13, Scout, nine, and Sunday, five.

She shared that her oldest daughter started saying things that really bothered her, so at first, she tried to dismiss them.

Honestly, it breaks my heart to even talk about it, but my oldest… she was saying things as a little girl that genuinely scared me. I know it sounds awful, but I just… I shut it down. I couldn’t handle it, so I tried to stifle whatever it was she was expressing. I was just so afraid of what it meant.

She’s adjusted how she parents her youngest daughter, learning to support and celebrate her unique talents.

My youngest daughter is very open and expressive. She really lets her personality shine, and I absolutely love that about her, she said.

Chezzi has released a new memoir, ‘The Weird Little Girl Who Talked To Ghosts,’ sharing her experiences with the supernatural. It’s available now in Australia.

‘I believe every single person was born with the ability to connect to spirits,’ she added.

Chezzi recently shared that she believes she can communicate with spirits, something she’s realized after years of wondering if she was losing her mind.

Chezzi said she first feared her gift, because she thought it would open a ‘demonic portal’.

I finally worked up the courage to see my doctor. Honestly, I was terrified beforehand – I used to think even thinking about it meant something terrible would happen, like facing the worst possible consequences. But I knew I needed to go, and I did.

I grew up Catholic, and revisiting my past helped me understand why I was so afraid of accidentally unleashing something evil. It’s been a really big shift – it’s completely changed how I see myself.

Chezzi began exploring her medium skills in 2022 after one of her friends died.

She attended Arthur Findlay College in Essex, England, a boarding school known as ‘The World’s Foremost College for the Advancement of Spiritualism and Psychic Sciences.’

In 2024, Chezzi revealed she was ‘qualified’ to give readings as a ‘spiritual medium’.

Speaking with George Sargent on their podcast, the co-host of It’s All True? shared that she graduated at the top of her class.

As many of you know, I’ve been really focused on personal growth lately, and I’m excited to share that I’ve started a new path! I’m training to become a spiritual medium. I began my studies in May with The Medium School, an online program based in Canada, and it’s already been such a transformative experience. I’m really looking forward to seeing where this journey takes me and sharing what I learn with all of you.
