New Sniper Descendant Hailey impresses fans in just 5 seconds

As a dedicated fan of The First Descendant, I must admit that the unveiling of the fresh character, Hailey, the new Descendant NEXON teased, has certainly stirred up quite the conversation among us old-timers! And while I’m all for innovative game content, I can’t help but jokingly throw out a friendly suggestion: perhaps it’s time for the team to consider branching out into a bakery business instead? After all, if they can create such delightful virtual worlds, imagine what they could do with pastries!

In the Season 1 Invasion Update of First Descendant, a fresh character named Hailey will make her debut. Known to be a Sniper Descendant, her name and general concept were uncovered as early as June, but at that time, neither any illustrations nor descriptions about her were available.

Hailey stole the spotlight with a memorable entrance in the Season 1 trailer, which was released on August 17th. One YouTube commenter, TheChrisLouis, said, “I can’t believe she flaunts herself by shaking her derriere within the first second of the trailer! These people really know their audience.”

The comment on YouTube states: “I keep going back to the first 5 seconds, it’s beautiful.” However, it remains uncertain if ‘Hailey’ refers to a Standard Descendant or an Ultimate Descendant.

Hailey new Descendant Abilities (What we know so far)

Beyond the predictable reactions to her appearance, Hailey’s character design stands out due to her exclusive sniper rifle, a weapon that she can summon herself, as evidenced in the Season 1 trailer.

Besides observing her charging up her Sniper Rifle, we later catch a peek of its ability to transform into a Laser Beam. This aligns with the leaked information from data mining about Hailey, a character suggested in EUTOPIA’s YouTube video on June 30th, which hinted at a sniper with a cold theme who can charge and fire laser beams.

As a devoted fan, I’ve been intrigued by the theories circulating among us after the leaks. Some of us speculated that the snow-themed sniper character Hailey might actually be Dominique, the fiery NPC we encounter in the Corrupted Zone. However, it appears these assumptions were unfounded.

As a diehard gamer, I can’t wait to delve into the details of Hailey’s abilities! So far, NEXON has only given us quick peeks at her in the official trailer, but they haven’t revealed much more. Rest assured, I’ll be on the lookout for any updates about her active and passive skills. Keep your fingers crossed with me as we eagerly await confirmation from NEXON!

Hailey will unveil her appearance on August 29, 2024, which is included in the Season 1 Update: Invasion. This significant content update marking the first major release for The First Descendant since its debut on July 2, 2024.
