How to see Taskmaster star Rose Matafeo’s live comedy special

As a long-time fan of Rose Matafeo’s hilarious comedy, I can hardly contain my excitement for her upcoming live comedy special! With her sold-out shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the prestigious Comedy Award win under her belt, it’s clear that this young talent is on an unstoppable rise.

Taskmaster star Rose Matafeo will be filming a live comedy special later this year.

The funny performer is set to take center stage for a three-week stretch at the Arcola Theatre in London during October, with this performance serving as a prelude to shooting her latest stand-up special.

Audience members will secure passes to her “On and On and On” concert at The Royal College of Music’s Britten Theatre in London on October 26, 2024, priced at just £15 per ticket. Remember these are open-seating tickets with no reserved spots.

On that particular evening, we’ll record two shows, and further information about when the exclusive broadcast will take place will be shared later.

In addition, Rose is scheduled to perform as the main act in a series of fully booked shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, an event at which she received the esteemed Comedy Award for Best Show back in 2018.

The comic recently released the third season of her hit comedy series Starstruck on BBC Three, and will next be returning to the world of Taskmaster.

It’s been revealed that she is set to replace Greg Davies as the primary host of Junior Taskmaster, with Mike Wozniak serving as her sidekick.

“Landing the Junior Taskmaster hosting role is one of the highest honors in an already exceptionally prosperous career for me, and I am thrilled about it,” Rose expressed.

“I am greatly looking forward to the power going to my head.”

The “Junior Taskmaster” show is designed primarily for kids aged 9 to 11. Similar to the original, Rose and Mike will be distributing a variety of amusing tasks for the participating children.

In the ninth season of the grown-up edition of Taskmaster, Rose participated and ended up as the first runner-up, with Ed Gamble taking the winning spot instead.

Taskmaster airs and streams on Channel 4, where you can also stream previous series.
