Gogglebox star Stephen Webb reveals the future of his relationship with ex Daniel Lustig and the real reason they split after six years of marriage
As an ardent fan of Gogglebox, I’ve been following Stephen Webb’s journey for quite some time now. The news about his divorce from Daniel Lustig after six years of marriage left me rather shocked, but not entirely surprised given the nature of showbiz relationships. The fact that they’ve decided to appear on Celebs Go Dating post-split makes it even more intriguing!
In my role as a lifestyle guide, I’d like to share a personal observation: I’ve found that sometimes, taking a step back from a relationship can be the best decision for both parties involved. This is what appears to have happened in the case of Stephen Webb and Daniel Lustig, who after six years of marriage, have decided to part ways following his decision to stop actively working on their union.
53-year-old celebrity from Gogglebox, who recently divorced a 43-year-old partner, has joined the cast of Celebs Go Dating.
However, following the breakup, he acknowledges that both of them had effectively disengaged from their marriage for a period of six years after getting married, which he plans to discuss on the E4 reality program.
He told The Sun: ‘We touch on it in the series. We both kind of switched off and stopped working at it.
‘The longer you leave it, the more it deteriorates to a point where there’s no going back.
I strongly agree that life is all about transformation, and I can’t wait to embark on the upcoming phase of my journey.
The well-known television personality, who recently disclosed the reasons behind his departure from the Channel 4 show that catapulted him to fame, expressed that he and Daniel had an “outstanding” period during their 11 years together. However, he is now “eager” to embark on a fresh chapter in life.
Previously, hairdresser Daniel was a guest on the “My Dirty Laundry” podcast in June, where he disclosed that he and Stephen had quietly parted ways approximately ten months prior to the interview, yet they continued residing together.
In discussing our reasons for parting ways, he mentioned that we enjoyed a wonderful phase together, lasting for quite some time. However, eventually, things seemed to lose their spark and fizzle out. Ultimately, it seemed sensible to conclude amicably as friends.
At work, we function not only as coworkers but also as business partners. Our bond, since its inception, has been rooted in friendship too.
“Our relationship is improved since our separation, which makes everything alright. While I realize many might not comprehend it, this situation has proven beneficial for us.”
On E4, the debut of Celebs Go Dating is set for Monday, August 19th. The preview trailer hints at a lot of exciting drama to come!
The new series will air from Monday to Thursday at the same time weekly.

Filming for the latest season of Celebs Go Dating concluded in July, sparking excitement among viewers who are looking forward to seeing Lauryn Goodman shine on screen.
Lauryn is set to appear alongside Chris Taylor from Love Island, Helen Flanagan of Coronation Street, singer Jamelia, Tristan Phipps from Made In Chelsea, and Ella Morgan, a cast member from Married At First Sight, on the upcoming show.
