As I delve into this heartfelt tale of resilience, I find myself utterly captivated by Jordan from Rizzle Kicks. His journey, marked by trials and tribulations, is nothing short of inspiring. From the heights of success with Rizzle Kicks to his personal struggles with self-harm, addiction, and heartbreak, he has weathered the storms of life with an unwavering spirit.

The well-loved, humorous British hip hop pair Rizzle Kicks have shared exciting news by posting a funny video featuring comedian Kiell Smith-Bynoe, confirming their reunion!

In 2011, Jordan “Rizzle” Stephens and Harley “Sylvester” Alexander-Sule gained widespread recognition following the launch of their first single and immediate success titled “Down with the Trumpets.”

After parting our paths following the launch of Slurp! back in 2016, I am thrilled to share some exciting news: we’re reuniting and making a comeback to the world of music once more.

In their return announcement, Jordan and Harley humorously depicted Ghosts actor Kiell learning about it unexpectedly during a therapy session.

During their conversation, Kiell was sharing deeply, but it seemed like his therapist wasn’t fully listening because she appeared absorbed in her notepad, where the words ‘Rizzle Kicks are back’ were written.

In the video posted on X (previously known as Twitter), the scene begins with Kiell reclining on a couch while Theresa, his therapist, scrutinizes her notepad.

He expresses to her, “It feels as though I’m repeating the same actions over and over,” or more casually, “I seem to be stuck in a loop, doing the same things all the time.” Both phrases convey that he is feeling unproductive due to repetition of tasks with no significant changes in outcomes.

The sound then becomes muffled to suggest the therapist isn’t listening as Kiell continues: ‘I mean isn’t that the definition of insanity? You keep trying when it’s just not working out.

‘And I guess I just feel so lost. It’s so hard to know where to go next. You know?’

‘Hm?’ the therapist asks, before Kiell calls her name ‘Theresa’ to get her attention.

Theresa agrees with Kiell. He wonders about a specific part of his statement, to which she responds by saying she agrees with the point he’s made recently.

‘Because I know you’re like writing a lot but I don’t know if you’re actually listening,’ he says.

Kiell inquires, “What are you jotting down?” Just then, Theresa conceals her notepad and replies, “Merely some critical points.”

Before Theresa displays her notes, Kiell appears rather dubious. However, once she mentions that it might prove useful, his demeanor changes.

His gaze fixes on the notepad as Theresa beams, followed by a shot of the page bearing the words ‘Rizzle Kicks return’. A melody of Hallelujah fills the scene.

In the next scene, Kiell exits the therapist’s office, excitedly declaring “Rizzle Kicks are back!” with a wide smile on his face. He then jumps up and claps his hands together, clearly thrilled by the news.

‘HEALING BRITAIN ONE PERSON AT A TIME,’ the band captioned the post.

Approximately an hour ago, the band hinted at a return by sharing a photo featuring a London telephone booth displaying the message: “Rizzle Kicks are making a comeback.”

To accompany the snap, the band’s account wrote: ‘Sun’s out, might be Rizzle Kicks weather.’

On Thursday, Instagram users spotted Jordan and Harley enjoying the tunes of Down with the Trumpets, followed by inserting a fresh cassette into their boombox. (This version maintains the original sequence of events but uses simpler, more conversational language.)

‘We’re back,’ they captioned the clip.

On his podcast, The Red Carpet Treatment, Jordan expressed his thoughts by saying: “Our music seems to have held up quite nicely, and I believe our return evokes memories of an optimistic era in British history, specifically the year 2012.”

‘We had the Olympics, pre-Covid, pre-Brexit, pre-Trump, people were living their lives man.’

Rizzle Kicks have released two albums, Stereo Typical in 2011 followed by Roaring 20s in 2013.

The pair achieved the top spot with “Heart Skips A Beat,” a song that also includes Olly Murs, among their other hits like “When I Was A Youngster,” “Mama Do The Hump,” and “Down With The Trumpets.”

Since 2016, Jordan has released music under the stage names Wildhood and Al, the Native.

Earlier this year, the musician opened up snout surviving ‘self-harm and heartbreak’ in a candid new book, after finding love with Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall.

Apart from his musical talents, the artist likewise offered a personal perspective on managing ADHD (Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder), following his previous disclosures about overcoming addiction to alcohol and drugs.

Jordan expressed that writing the book, titled “Avoidance, Drugs, Heartbreak And Dogs,” was the most challenging task he had ever undertaken.

He ascended to stardom alongside Rizzle Kicks, but privately, he wrestled with harmful habits of self-injury and maladaptive methods of dealing with stress.

A production company named Watford & Essex, renowned for their work on shows like “The White Queen” and “Life on Mars,” has acquired the rights to produce the book that we have.
