You’s Penn Badgley shares behind-the-scenes look at his final episode

As a die-hard fan of the gripping psychological thriller “You”, I can’t help but feel a tinge of melancholy as Penn Badgley, the enigmatic Joe Goldberg himself, wraps up his final days on set. The anticipation for the fifth and final season has been building like a crescendo, and seeing Badgley’s behind-the-scenes glimpse into this bittersweet moment is akin to peeking into the mind of Joe Goldberg himself – intriguing, suspenseful, and ever so slightly unnerving.

Netflix offers a sneak peek at the making of Penn Badgley’s last appearance in the finale of the popular show, “You”.

Badgley posted a video on both Instagram and YouTube, offering his followers a sneak peek into the last season of the suspenseful series. Simultaneously, he also participated in the current TikTok craze, adopting the style ‘extremely reserved, extremely mindful’.

In the video, you can spot Badgley stepping out of a vehicle, dressed as his character Joe. He humorously comments, “I don’t do much at work, I’m quite mindful.” Subsequently, the camera swiftly transitions to the actor yelling and attempting to escape from one of Joe’s signature glass cages.

For five seasons, he portrayed a romantic character known for his charm. He’s quite humble about it and always cautious in his actions, as he explains. “Notice my shirt,” he adds, “It reveals my shoulder line, not the massive muscles.”

Previously, Netflix announced that the show will conclude at the end of its fifth season, with the creative minds behind it, Sarah Schechter and Greg Berlanti, stating that they had originally envisioned it as a five-season odyssey.

Additionally, it was revealed that the showrunner and creator, Sera Gamble, would be relinquishing her position. In her stead, writers Michael Foley and Justin W Lo have been tapped to take over.

Regarding the final episode of the show, Gamble expressed: “Working side by side with our writers, producers, directors, actors, and crew on this project has been a privilege and incredibly enjoyable. I consider myself fortunate to have collaborated with an artist as talented and thoughtful as Penn Badgley.”

“I take great pride in what we’ve achieved together, and it’s an honor to hand over the reins. I can’t wait to cheer on your team as you guide Joe Goldberg towards the end of his captivating, intriguing storyline.”

You seasons 1-4 are streaming on Netflix, whilst a fifth and final season is in production.
