Nadia Bartel reveals how she found love again after painful divorce and shares baby plans with boyfriend Peter Dugmore: ‘I felt like my life had ended’
As a lifestyle expert, I find myself constantly inspired by the resilience and adaptability of individuals, especially when it comes to love and relationships. Nadia Bartel’s journey post-divorce is a testament to this. After 11 years with her ex-husband Jimmy Bartel, she found herself at a crossroads, feeling as though her life had come to an end. However, fate had other plans.
Nadia Bartel has shared her inner thoughts on life after divorce.
Previously known as a WAG, she recently labeled her new partner, Peter Dugmore, as “The One,” and on Friday, she posted a video where she pondered over the joy of experiencing love once more.
In the Instagram video, the 38-year-old chatted with her followers as she put on self-tanner, all while wearing active apparel.
In 2019, when she was going through her divorce from Jimmy Bartel after eleven years, she expressed that it seemed as if her life had come to an end, but that perspective seems rather irrational now.
1. “I remember feeling as though dating was impossible after having my two young kids, and it seems like you might be feeling the same way.”
She added: ‘I found it challenging too, as I had been with my former partner for quite some time, starting from when I was around 22 or 23. The idea of dating again felt completely alien to me, and I wasn’t sure how I would manage all those new experiences.’
Nadia went on to say that ‘didn’t even want to meet anyone’ and was ‘so happy with my two boys’.
However her interest was piqued when she got an Instagram message from Peter.
She typically doesn’t reply to Instagram messages, but for some reason, possibly due to feeling lonely, she did respond.
I checked out his online profile, noticed we shared some common acquaintances, and found him appealing. Additionally, I appreciated the fact that he didn’t post too much content on his page.
Nadia went on saying, “I truly appreciated our conversations, yet I never imagined meeting this individual in person – it was simply delightful to talk.”
I had reached a positive state regarding my mental well-being, and I wanted to avoid any situation that might cause me harm once more.
In a park named The Tan in Melbourne, the Henne designer caught up with Peter, and they’ve been in each other’s company ever since then.
In a surprising turn of events, I never anticipated crossing paths with this individual, yet the moment I laid eyes on him, heard his voice, observed his gestures – there was an immediate, undeniable connection and energy that took me aback. It’s peculiar because I hadn’t experienced such feelings since my separation.
‘That feeling of connecting with someone and an energy, I feel like it’s a real thing’.
The pair are even discussing having children together, Nadia disclosed.
She mentioned that it’s important to handle that with care, and they proceeded cautiously. As a result, their relationship has blossomed greatly.
Bartel says she and Dugmore have discussed having children.
As I’ve grown older, the chance of reliving those moments may be uncertain or distant, but it’s heartening to find myself feeling that way once more.
Nadia has two songs with ex-husband Jimmy, Aston and Henley.

The romance comes after her highly publicised split from husband Jimmy Bartel in 2019.
She expressed her belief to Daily Mail Australia during the event held at the Marriott Bonvoy Lounge in Albert Park: ‘I believe he’s the right one for me. I truly feel that way and I think he possesses numerous exceptional qualities.’

Following their company’s IPO towards the end of 2022, Nadia and Peter are frequently spotted showing affection at high-end gatherings and enjoying romantic outings throughout Melbourne.
Having attended numerous tennis tournaments throughout my years as a sports journalist, I must admit that the Australian Open is one of my favorites due to its lively atmosphere and passionate fans. Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of witnessing a heartwarming moment at the tournament – a loved-up couple exchanging a passionate kiss on the court amidst the excitement of the match. It was a beautiful sight that added an extra layer of joy to an already exhilarating event. The experience reminded me once again why I love covering sports and capturing moments like these that show the human side behind the competition.

In my latest musings, I’ve found myself in the delightful position of confirming a relationship with someone special. We chose an intimate moment to share our bond with the world, capturing it in a heartfelt snapshot posted on Instagram Stories.
Towards the end of last year, Nadia shared with Daily Mail Australia that her relationship with the ex-footballer-cum-model was thriving quite well.
‘My love life is going well. It’s good. I’m happy,’ she shared.
In August 2019, Nadia publicly declared her separation from former AFL player Jimmy, who had retired, marking a split that occurred five years after their wedding on the Bellarine Peninsula in 2014.
Last year in April, while Nadia was advancing her relationship with Peter, Jimmy became a father with Amelia Sheppard.
