Lindsay Lohan slips into swimsuit as she hits beach with Jamie Lee Curtis to film scene for Freaky Friday sequel

Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis were spotted shooting a scene on the beach for Freakier Friday.
Last Thursday, the 38-year-old actress was seen running swiftly over the sand in a vibrant green suit adorned with flowers that resembled a wetsuit, and later she was found seated next to her on-screen mom, Curtis, who is 65 years old.
Shortly following a conversation between Lohan and Curtis about potentially working together again and re-enacting their characters Anna and Tess in the sequel, over twenty years after they first appeared.
In the spirit of the 2000s, Lindsay Lohan gathered her strawberry-hued locks carelessly into a bun and donned a pair of stylish sunglasses with rose-tinted lenses and a vintage, cat-eyed design, adorned with gold accents.
In a composed and collected manner, Curtis showcased a two-piece denim ensemble on the beach, maintaining an air of effortless coolness while seated in the sand.
In the outdoorsy scene, she donned a stylish pair of timeless, dark aviator-style sunglasses and kept her makeup subtle, reminiscent of Lohan’s aesthetic.
Later on, Lohan could be spotted, her feet nestled in the sand, right in the midst of the movie set during a pause in filming the highly anticipated follow-up to the 2003 cult favorite.
Production for the sequel kicked off earlier this summer in Los Angeles on June 24.
The Disney movie adaptation of the novel “Freaky Friday,” written by Mary Rodgers and published in 1972, was first released approximately 20 years back in 2003.
As a devoted admirer, I eagerly anticipate the sequel’s intriguing tagline: ‘In our journey ahead, it seems fate might play a trick on us twice, as Tess and Anna encounter the complex hurdles that arise when two households become one.’
In addition to the main actors, Mark Harmon and Chad Michael Murray are set to return, continuing their characters as Ryan Volvo and Jake respectively.
In addition, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao will all return to their respective characters for the upcoming sequel as well.
Fresh faces joining the team are Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan.
In the upcoming sequel, Andrew Gunn, the original producer, will team up with Curtis and Kristin Burr as joint producers.
Lohan, Nathan Kelly and Ann Marie Sanderlin will serve as executive producers.
As for the release date of Freakier Friday, the movie is expected to premiere in theaters in 2025.
During an exclusive face-to-face chat with IMDb, Lohan and Curtis hinted that more characters might be involved in body-swapping scenes for the upcoming film.
About the production, Lohan said: ‘It feels like a rhythm that never stopped.’
She even confirmed that Tess’ band from the 2003 film, Pink Slip, will return.
‘Pink Slip is making a strong comeback, overflowing with affection. It’s an enjoyable experience, and it seems as if they’ve been together all along.’
Lohan also teased that there is a ‘new song in this that is really beautiful.’
In regards to the sequel’s narrative, Lohan hinted that it would strike a perfect balance between humor and the unusual.
Curtis noted: “The film is even scarier in every way. It’s funnier, with increased physical humor, and the plot twists are downright terrifying.”
She added that returning costars Mark Harmon and Chad Michael Murray are also ‘freakier’ and said that the sequel will have ‘more swapping.’
Curtis hinted: ‘I can’t disclose to you what method I use to remember my character, but there’s a unique approach, one that only becomes clear after watching the movie, or when we start promoting it. Then, you’ll learn a great deal more about the film.’
