Kate Spencer, known for her role on Coronation Street, and her husband Paul Walker have welcomed their first child – a baby boy!
The actress, famous for playing the villain Grace Vickers on the ITV soap opera, announced the news to her Instagram followers on Tuesday evening.
As a new mom, I’m so excited to finally share the news – and a picture! – of my little guy, Zach! I announced I was expecting back in October, and he arrived last week. Honestly, my partner and I are completely head-over-heels in love with him. It’s been the most amazing experience!

From 2019 to 2022, Spencer appeared on Coronation Street and was part of the first Black family ever featured on the show.
The actress, who married boxer Walker in 2022, had previously shared with her fans that she felt ‘grateful and blessed’ when she announced she was expecting a baby before Christmas.
Kate announced that she’s 19 weeks pregnant and overjoyed to be welcoming a baby in March 2026. She expressed immense gratitude and excitement for the future, saying she’s looking forward to a lifetime of loving her little one.
In June 2021, Walker proposed to the actress while they were having dinner at a steakhouse. Spencer later shared with her followers that she cried tears of joy when he proposed.
The actress shared a post on social media recalling a memory from three years prior: ‘He once asked me what my ideal day would be like.’
I want to start my day with a productive and fulfilling routine: waking up early, getting a workout in, enjoying some personal downtime, eating well, having good coffee, and dedicating time to theatre or acting.
Yesterday was a busy but fun day! We exercised at the gym, enjoyed some delicious coffee, rehearsed lines for Coronation Street, took a short walk, relaxed at a pub, played backgammon, and finished the day by making and eating tiramisu and steak.
‘It was perfect. And then this happened.’
She shared the happy news of her engagement by posting a joyful selfie. The photo showed her hugging Paul and displaying her new ring.

One of the photos showed them hugging in a garden, and Kate’s engagement ring was clearly visible.
Spencer posted a screenshot of the Zoom call where she told her family she was engaged.
She could be seen proudly holding up her hand, with her engagement ring prominently on display.
The caption for a final image read: ‘I b****y love you. (And I’m super thankful you swiped right.’
Right after he finished his steak and before dessert arrived, while she was having coffee, he made her cry uncontrollably.
‘A million times over, completely and utterly yes.’
