Team Secret Dota 2 roster 2024: Not what you expected

As a seasoned gamer with years of Dota 2 experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and curiosity regarding Team Secret’s new roster. The absence of RTZ is certainly a game-changer, but Puppey has always been a mastermind when it comes to building teams.

If RTZ (Ramzes) isn’t part of it, the freshly unveiled Dota 2 lineup for Team Secret includes Puppey, Kyzko, Tobi, Adzantick, and Shad.

Team Secret has officially undergone a significant revamp in their Dota 2 lineup. Instead of making minor adjustments, they have constructed an entirely new team around veteran player Clement “Puppey” Ivanov, echoing their original setup. This development was earlier hinted at by two team members, Remco “Crystallis” Arets and Miroslav “BOOM” Bičan.

Team Secret faced an imminent deadline: their invitation to the PGL Wallachia S2 Closed Qualifiers tournament. Given that this would be the first Tier 1 event post-The International 2024, a fresh, new team lineup was urgently required. The team they unveiled consists of:

  • Indji “Shad” Lub
  • Elliott “Adzantick” Hammond
  • Tobias “Tobi” Buchner
  • Mikhail “Kyzko” Galkin
  • Clement “Puppey” Ivanov

Who are the new Team Secret Dota 2 players?

As a seasoned gamer myself, Shad and Adzantick aren’t fresh faces in the European competitive circuit. They’ve made waves before, representing Twisted Minds in their latest accomplishment. But let’s not forget their glorious days with D1 Hustlers, a team that truly shone during the Dota Pro Circuit, reaching its zenith.

Contrasting with his lack of professional experience, Kyzko has been an active player in ranked pubs. Making his debut in the Tier 1/2 scene with Team Secret’s Dota 2 team will be a new venture for him. His former team, Nightshade Esports, failed to qualify for any major tournament but did participate in the closed qualifiers for Elite League S1, securing an eighth-place finish. Skiter, a hard carry for Team Falcons, has openly expressed his admiration for Kyzko.

Lastly, it’s important to mention Tobi, who stepped in for Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov on short notice with Tundra Esports. Despite this sudden change, the team managed to secure a third-place finish. Since then, Tobi has been without a team, making his last competitive match played in April.

When is Team Secret playing next?

In their initial match for the PGL Wallachia S2 closed qualifiers, Team Secret’s latest Dota 2 lineup squared off against an unidentified team called “Trouble Makers,” a Turkish squad that advanced from the open qualifiers. Despite this, Team Secret emerged victorious with a clean sweep of 2-0. The games lasted for 14 and 20 minutes respectively. Here are some statistics comparing Team Secret and Trouble Makers (reborn) courtesy of DOTABUFF.com.

Upcoming competition will present a significant challenge since they’ll go up against AVULUS. This lineup features Daniel “Stormstormer” Schoetzau, another former Entity player like Tobi. They’ve previously defeated MOUZ 2-0 and are serious contenders for the qualifying position.
