Rob Schneider breaks silence after daughter Elle King slammed his 'toxic' parenting

As an ardent fan who has grown up admiring Rob Schneider‘s comedic genius, I have always been torn between his hilarious on-screen persona and the troubling stories that surface about his off-screen behavior. The latest development between him and his daughter Elle has left me feeling both disheartened and intrigued.

Rob Schneider has expressed deep regret and apologized to his daughter, Elle King, following accusations that he sent her to weight loss camps during childhood and labeled him as toxic.

35-year-old singer behind Ex’s & Oh’s criticized a 60-year-old ex-member of Saturday Night Live, labeling him as “not nice,” following her condemnation of his problematic remarks about the LGBTQ+ community in a recent interview on Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast.

King mentioned that she typically abstains from conversation with the comedian for a period of four to five years, and also acknowledged that she prefers to have no connection with him whatsoever.

Now, Schneider has openly admitted his mistake to his daughter in a sneak peek for an upcoming interview with Tucker Carlson, airing on Thursday.

He said: ‘Fun being a parent isn’t it? I want to just tell my daughter, Elle, I love you and I wish I was the father in my 20s that you needed and clearly I wasn’t and I hope you can forgive me for my shortcomings.

I adore you wholeheartedly, from head to toe, and my deepest desire is for your health and happiness, alongside you and your precious child, Lucky. May all good things come your way.

‘I feel terrible and I just want you to know that I don’t take anything you say personally.”

‘All I want for her is to be happy and heal from this.’

In her interview, she criticized Schneider by stating: “I strongly oppose many of the things he expresses,” said the singer, referring to Schneider in a segment from the episode. “You’re speaking nonsense and you’re spewing hateful comments about drag culture and LGBTQ+ rights. It’s just appalling.”

King openly stated that she rarely communicates with the comedian for a period of four to five years and makes it clear that she prefers not to have any connection with him whatsoever.

As a devoted follower, I find myself compelled to share this insight: ‘He’s not exactly pleasant,’ I observed. ‘It’s natural to yearn for someone to alter their ways, but remember, we have no power over others’ actions or emotions. The only thing within our grasp is how we respond and manage our own feelings.’

DailyMail.com has reached out to Schneider for comment.

Born in Ohio and brought up by her mom, London King, and stepdad Justin Tesa, Elle later developed a renewed connection with Rob during adulthood following a challenging childhood bond.

In her youthful days, Elle’s occasional encounters with Rob typically took place on film sets, leaving her feeling overshadowed and lost amidst the hectic atmosphere.

She said, “I’d blend anonymously in the crowd,” or “I wouldn’t stand out,” or “I’d be overlooked.” If I made a mistake with a shot, if I spoke too much, I’d face serious consequences.

Later on, the king reminisced, “Every year, my father would overlook my birthdays. On my 18th birthday, I was in summer school, and they surprised me with cupcakes. When I returned home, my father had forgotten yet again.”

As a die-hard admirer, let me share that my unyielding fascination often found itself caught up in a heated debate between King and Schneider, primarily revolving around her unique physical attributes – her weight and the intricate designs etched upon her skin.

She stated that as a child, she was significantly overweight. Her father enrolled her in a weight loss camp, but the following year, she injured her ankle and didn’t manage to shed any pounds, as she clarified.

‘Very toxic and very silly,’ she added.

“I’d begun getting a tattoo, and the temperature was around 108 degrees. Since my father disapproved of tattoos or any personal expression, I felt compelled to put on sweaters.”

In the revised video, King disclosed that she tirelessly explored numerous methods to mend her bond with her father.

1. Option: ‘I might use written messages, I might whisper, I could shout. However, when I start shouting, he responds with something like, “Well, take a look. You’re raising your voice now.”‘

2018 saw King disclose to People that she forged a stronger relationship with Schneider after her challenging divorce and fights with addiction and mental health issues.

Despite the ambiguity surrounding their present bond, it is known that King and her father recently appeared together onstage during Elle’s New Year’s Eve concert in Nashville.
