Genshin Impact: World Level 9 and buffed drop rates!

Ahoy there, fellow Traveler! As a seasoned adventurer who’s sailed through countless stormy seas and battled hordes of Trounsted Slimes, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the upcoming Genshin Impact update! The announcement of World Level 9 has sent shivers down my spine – not from fear, but pure excitement!

In the forthcoming Genshin Impact update, travelers have the opportunity to raise their World Level up to 9. Onward and upward through the heavens and abyss!

As a dedicated player of Genshin Impact for quite some time now, I’ve grown accustomed to the game’s ever-evolving landscape and exciting updates. The latest developer discussion has certainly piqued my interest with its plans for World Level 9, increased drop rates, and other quality of life improvements for upcoming updates! This news brings a sense of anticipation to my gaming routine, as I eagerly look forward to exploring new challenges and enjoying the game even more than before. The developers’ commitment to enhancing player experience truly speaks volumes about their dedication to the community.

Alongside the changes, players will also receive 1,000,000 Mora via the in-game mail.

Genshin Impact adds World Level 9

The most notable point in the latest Developers Discussion is the addition of World Level 9. This will go live with the Genshin Impact version 5.0 update.

The option to upgrade to World Level 9 becomes available once players reach Adventure Rank 58.

What happens in World Level 9?

As I venture across the overworld, I’ve noticed that all my foes seem to be getting a bit stronger. They’re beefing up their health pools and packing a harder punch, making each battle a tad more challenging. But fear not, for these tougher enemies also come with a silver lining – they’re dropping better loot! The devs of Genshin Impact have shared some exciting news: at least three Character Level-Up Materials are guaranteed to drop from bosses when defeated.

Even Better Drops

In Genshin Impact’s update 5.0, not just top-tier characters will see improved loot, but also certain enemy types. This enhancement, along with the benefits from World Level 9, means that farming resources for advanced players will require less work. The targeted enemies are as follows:

  • Specter
  • Abyss Mage
  • Nobushi
  • Kairagi
  • Ruin Guard
  • Ruin Hunter
  • Ruin Grader

Quests and Battle Pass changes

Once you reach the maximum reputation level for a region, you won’t be able to complete any more Reputation Quests for that area. As a result, any weekly missions linked to Reputation Quests in the Battle Pass will also disappear.

In each update, you’ll find three fresh objectives added to your Battle Pass. Each objective can only be completed once per update.

  • Enhance 5-star artifacts a total of 30/60/100 levels.

In total, this quest series will grant 3,600 BP EXP, 60 Primogems, and 60 Sanctifying Unctions.

The “Claim Daily Commission Rewards 4 times” will now reward 200 EXP, from 150.

Other QoL Improvements in Genshin Impact version 5.0

Alongside World Level 9, we’re introducing even more changes designed to simplify farming for characters. Additionally, you can expect significant enhancements to our in-game user interface.

Better Collecting

A “Collect Regional Specialties” button will appear, marking locations on your map where you can gather materials. Each marker indicates a spot with uncollected materials, showing the number still waiting to be picked up.

As a fan, I find this update incredibly beneficial since it streamlines the process of advancing characters, as each now demands a more specific set of skills tailored to their locale.

The map pin limit will also increase by 50 in this update.

Artifact Mystic Offering

The following Artifact Sets are being added to the Mystic Offering:

  • Deepwood Memories
  • Gilded Dreams
  • Desert Pavilion Chronicle
  • Flower of Paradise Lost
  • Nymph’s Dream
  • Vourukasha’s Glow
  • Marechaussee Hunter
  • Golden Troupe

Serenitea Pot Improvements

The Serenitea Pot load limit will be increased by about 60% of what it currently is.

The Furnishing Inventory limit will also expand from 2,000 to 2,200.

Better UI

The UI for the following systems will be improved:

  • Food usage and inventory
  • Cooking
  • Condensed Resin crafting
  • Weapon Enhancement
  • Forging
  • Personal Profile Display Page
