As a devoted fan of Jonnie Irwin, I find myself deeply moved by the news of his last will and testament. The man who brought sunshine to our screens through A Place In The Sun leaves behind an incredible legacy – not just in the form of property wisdom, but more importantly, in the love he shared with his family.

According to documents made public on Wednesday, Jonnie Irwin from A Place In The Sun has bequeathed approximately £1 million to his wife, Jessica Holme, as per his will.

The current speaker sadly passed away in February, three years following his diagnosis with a highly aggressive type of lung cancer.

He left his his entire £953,000 estate to his wife, with who he shared three children Rex, five, and twins Cormac and Rafa, two.

According to documents obtained by The Sun, it was found that Jonnie initially held assets worth approximately £956,967. However, after making the necessary deductions, his total assets amounted to roughly £953,425.

The will, which was signed in October 2022, was signed off by Newcastle probate court on Saturday.

In a heartfelt manner, his wife shared details about his last moments while reminiscing about the affectionate bond they shared during their marriage in May, with tears in her eyes.

In 2015, Jessica developed feelings for the presenter, whom she had met through mutual acquaintances. She stated that their relationship was not one of close friends, but rather one of passionate lovers.

In an interview with Hello! magazine, Jessica choked back tears as she recounted him saying, “I am overjoyed to have met you,” and expressing his belief that our children would experience the greatest happiness and enjoyment life has to offer.

Jonnie and I enjoyed ourselves immensely, never a dull moment. We weren’t just friends, we were in love, our bond was passionate.

From 2004 to 2021, Jonnie served as the host of the real estate program “A Place In The Sun.” Unfortunately, in 2021, a terminal cancer diagnosis necessitated his resignation from the show.

In the final chapters of Jonnie’s life, I had the profound honor of being his caregiver, sharing our days within the comfort of our shared home. Nurses were my steadfast companions during this poignant journey, providing essential support whenever it was needed.

She remarked that his demise was unusually swift, as he went straight to bed upon coming home from the hospital and passed away several days later without leaving it.

Jess confessed that she found it hard to accept the situation was final, as she had anticipated his condition might worsen due to a recent instance where he teased her playfully about a matter.

I disclosed that our eldest son, Rex, had visited Jonnie in his room prior to his passing. My wife, Jess, shared her belief that our young child, sensing something amiss, had kissed Jonnie’s hand as a gesture of concern or unease.

Jessica announced the news of his death in a heartbreaking tribute earlier this year.

In the year 2020, Jonnie received a diagnosis of lung cancer which eventually turned out to be terminal, and he shared this news with the public two years later when the disease had already advanced.

Jessica remained a steadfast pillar of support during her husband’s challenging health battle.

In 2016, a couple celebrated their union in an event that Jonnie referred to as the “most joyful weekend of my life.” They now share custody of three boys together.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share this heartwarming tale. When Jonnie was hale and hearty, he relished numerous trekking escapades alongside his cherished band of brothers in the Lake District. It turns out that Jess, our beloved friend, has recently scattered some of Jonnie’s ashes on the summit of a mountain, a poignant tribute to his adventurous spirit.

She shared with the outlet that during their latest adventure, they opted for electric bikes (e-bikes) to facilitate Jonnie’s journey, and visited The Lake District.

About two weeks past, when everyone departed, I asked them, “Would you like to bring a small portion of him along with you?”, to which they scattered a few of his remains atop a mountain’s peak.

Jess subsequently disclosed that the family is presently seeking a unique tree to plant in Northumberland, where they intend to incorporate Jonnie’s remains within its roots, as it was his expressed desire.
