Kylie Jenner teases at 'getting in the recording studio' for new career venture four years after iconic 'Rise and Shine' wake-up song went viral

As a fan who has been following the Kardashian-Jenner clan for years, I must say that their latest venture into music is a delightful surprise! It’s fascinating to see how each family member continues to showcase their unique talents and personalities. Kylie Jenner, known for her business acumen and beauty empire, has now shared a side of herself that we rarely get to see – her love for singing.

Kylie Jenner hinted this week about potentially entering a recording studio, which comes almost five years since her popular ‘Rise and Shine’ wake-up tune became viral. She seems to be embarking on a fresh professional endeavor involving music.

On Tuesday, a reality television personality, aged 27, became the initial Kardashian-Jenner family member to appear on the cover of British Vogue. In an ensuing conversation, she shared insights about establishing herself in the fashion world after spending her twenties focusing on motherhood.

However, only a few months after launching her luxury fashion brand Khy, it appears that Kylie is already contemplating other projects.

Was there a time when you considered becoming a pop star as a kid, the magazine inquired. To which she responded, “Yes, I believe so. I’ve always been aware that I didn’t have a particularly great singing voice.”

As someone with a background in fashion design, I’ve always had a passion for creativity and self-expression. However, deep down, there’s another dream that’s been lingering in my heart for years – the desire to be a singer. I’ve spent countless hours humming tunes and scribbling lyrics on napkins, wishing I could turn those melodies into reality.

Kylie displayed her current collection of songs, which includes timeless tunes by Aretha Franklin, The Beatles, Otis Redding, as well as a few fresh tracks by Sabrina Carpenter.

‘Please Please Please is the best,’ she confirmed.

In October 2019, a video posted by Jenner showcasing her Kylie Cosmetics office became popular online. Towards the end of the video, she sang to her daughter Stormi.

Overwhelmed with excitement, I couldn’t help but go gaga over the heartwarming video of Kylie crooning “Rise and Shine” to her little bundle of joy! In a blink of an eye, I found myself flooding my social media feeds with reactions, sharing my pure joy with fellow fans.

After she astonished everyone with her remarkable singing ability, the short phrase she used as a wake-up call was imitated, covered, and even reworked by various famous personalities.

Another fan went all out with an electronically infused dubstep version of the song.

Recently, Kylie reshared a popular method of singing nursery rhymes by posting a video of herself and her two-year-old boy, Aire, singing the alphabet together.

In her post, she mentioned the three-worded “Rise and Shine” song, a tune she used to awaken her daughter Stormi, who was six at that time, back in 2019.

As an ardent follower of the Kardashian clan, I can’t help but share the delightful revelation from one of their stars: “Air was tardy for the morning wake-up call, yet he’s already a pro at recognizing my stunning ABCs.”

To start and finish the video, her charming son requested her to sing the song again, excitedly saying “Once more!”

In the video, Kylie sang the alphabet song enthusiastically and bobbed her head while Air harmonized with her.

She shares both Stormi and Aire with her ex-boyfriend, rapper Travis Scott, 33.

For a period of five years, the previous pair had an up-and-down romance that lasted intermittently, and they decided to end things towards the end of 2022 – the very year they gave birth to Aire jointly.

Kylie’s older sister Kim once dabbled in music when she released the forgettable Jam (Turn It Up).

Mom Kris also participated by releasing her own song titled “I Love My Friends,” which drew heavily from Randy Newman’s “I Love L.A.” This track came out back in 1985.

Though mom’s track was mostly forgotten, the momager’s family didn’t hesitate to give their song special treatment.

In a heartwarming tribute for her mom Kris’s 60th birthday in 2015, her daughters playfully made fun of the music video for “I Love My Friends,” showing their affection in an amusing way.

The Kardashian family members made a new version of the “I Love My Friends” music video, featuring their grandchildren.

Kim and her former spouse Kanye West, together with Kourtney Kardashian and her ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick, featured their kids in the video as well.

Kris made a video as a tribute for her 30th birthday, modeled after the 1983 hit “I Love LA” by Randy Newman.

She titled her original video “I Love My Friends.” Her daughters have now produced a revised, high-definition and high-resolution version of that video.

As a devoted admirer, I ensured to revise the brand names and venues that Kylie and Kendall visited in one of Jenner’s previous videos. Previously, these spots included establishments like The Cheesecake Factory.

Instead, the modern generation is seen visiting Chanel, Givenchy, and noticeably carrying Birkin handbags during their outings.

At the start of the video, a caption appears saying: ‘On our mother’s 60th birthday, my sisters and I remade the “I Love My Friends” video she created in 1985 for her 30th birthday. It’s packed with entertaining cameos, so don’t forget to watch it all the way through!’

In addition, the video features a variety of cameos from well-known personalities like Oprah Winfrey, Cindy Crawford, Ryan Seacrest, Kyle Richards, Faye Resnick, Kathy and Rick Hilton, Justin Bieber, Joan Rivers, Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb, Drake, and Jennifer Lawrence.

Apart from that, there’s an additional message from renowned pop artist Katy Perry. She shared, “Age doesn’t matter to me because you’ll always remain youthful in my eyes.”

In the previous year, I was part of the enthusiastic crowd who gathered to create a fresh Christmas album. Remarkably, almost every member of the renowned Kardashian family was there, lending their voices, all except for one – Kylie – who claimed to have the most captivating vocal abilities among them.

During an episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney Kardashian shared that following Kris releasing a Christmas single in 2021, they collectively decided to produce a full-fledged Christmas album.

Following Mom’s recording of her Christmas tune, there’s been talk among us sisters about creating a Christmas album. Given our shared enthusiasm for everything festive, and the fact that the earnings will be donated to charity, this idea seems quite appealing, as Kourtney expressed during her private reflection.

In the course of events, we found ourselves gathered at Travis Barker’s recording studio, an evening energized by the flow of tequila. However, my friend Kylie was absent from this spirited recording session.

When the producer inquired about Kylie’s absence, she explained that she had alternative arrangements for her singing career.

As someone who has spent my entire life honing my craft as a singer, I have developed a unique perspective on my career. With years of hard work and dedication, I have cultivated a powerful voice that sets me apart from others in the industry. However, I sometimes find myself questioning whether or not I truly belong among the major singers. It’s not that I don’t think I deserve success, but rather, I have faced so many obstacles and setbacks along the way that it can be difficult to shake off self-doubt. But then I remind myself of all the progress I’ve made and the countless hours I’ve put into perfecting my craft, and I realize that I am just as worthy as anyone else in this industry. Just kidding, of course I know I’m awesome! It’s just a humblebrag, you know? 😉
