FX sets September date for Ryan Murphy series Grotesquerie starring Travis Kelce

As a lifelong fan of gripping dramas and suspenseful storytelling, I am beyond excited for the premiere of Ryan Murphy’s new series, Grotesquerie! With its star-studded cast and intriguing premise, this show promises to keep me on the edge of my seat.

Fans of Travis Kelce are set to witness an entirely different aspect of the athlete this autumn when Ryan Murphy’s 10-episode horror drama series “Grotesquerie” debuts on Wednesday, September 25, according to Deadline.

In the role led by Emmy-winning actress Niecy Nash-Betts, as seen in “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” I find myself immersed in the chilling world of “Grotesquerie,” a tale that centers around a chain of unspeakable crimes that have left a deep scar on a tiny, peaceful community.

Detective Lois Tryon, portrayed by Nash-Betts, suspects that the peculiarities of these crimes hold a chilling personal relevance to her. In search of support, Lois approaches Sister Megan (played by Micaela Diamond), a nun who harbors hidden truths but maintains hope for humanity’s goodness. However, Lois grapples with cynicism about the future of mankind.

By the deadline, “Lois and her sister Megan are following leads, but instead of finding straightforward solutions, they find themselves tangled deeper in a mysterious situation filled with unanswered queries.”

Nash-Betts boasts an impressive ensemble featuring Courtney B. Vance, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Lesley Manville, Raven Goodwin, and notably, Travis Kelce. Known as the tight end for the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs, Kelce has garnered significant attention in recent times, primarily due to his high-profile connection with pop sensation Taylor Swift.

In this project, Kelce takes on a substantial acting debut. The specifics regarding his character have been kept confidential.

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy executive produces the show which he also directs alongside Alexis Martin Woodall, Elegance Bratton, and Max Winkler. Murphy wrote and created Grotesquerie with Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken.

Apart from “Grotesquerie”, Murphy’s Netflix show “Monster” is coming back for a second season this fall or winter, focusing on Lyle and Erik Menéndez. Additionally, the thirteenth season of “American Horror Story” is being developed as well.

The new season starts airing on September 25, 10 p.m. Eastern/Pacific Time. You can catch up on the episodes the next day on Hulu. For our international viewers, you’ll be able to stream the series at a later time on Disney+.
