Let’s check out everything going on This Week in Star Wars Comics!

The High Republic: The Edge of Balance, Vol. 3

As a determined gamer, I find myself in the midst of an intergalactic crisis: A dreadful Blight is ravaging galaxies, reducing entire worlds to nothing but dust. The ruthless Nihil leader, Marchion Ro, is exploiting this catastrophe to bolster his reign of chaos. Meanwhile, Jedi Knight Lily Tora-Asi stands defiant at the Banchii Jedi Temple, refusing to abandon her home planet. With her wise old master, Wookiee Jedi Master Arkoff, by her side, they are resolute in their stand. But as secrets from Arkoff’s past emerge, there’s a chance that everything we know could be turned upside down.

“The High Republic: The Edge of Balance, Volume 3” is penned by authors Shima Shinya and Daniel José Older, with artwork from Mizuki Sakakibara. This graphic novel is available at all book retailers right now.

Darth Vader #49

As a gamer, if there was a comic issue that could be dubbed the “Mess around and see what happens” edition, it would be the second-to-last one in the Darth Vader series. The Sith Lord himself is grappling with the repercussions of his recent actions against Sly Moore and her Schism Imperial traitors. It’s all leading up to a climactic battle for ultimate power that will shape the Empire’s destiny in the final act.

In issue number 49 of Darth Vader, the storyline is penned by Greg Pak and features artwork from Raffaele Ienco. Leinil Francis Yu contributes to the cover art for this installment. This tale lays the groundwork for the final issue, marking the end of the series in September, coinciding with the main Star Wars series’ conclusion. After the comic event titled Star Wars: Battle of Jakku — Insurgency Rising, which centers around The Battle of Jakku and is set for October, both series will be rebooted.

That’s it for This Week in Star Wars Comics! See you next time in the splash pages!
