As I delve into these captivating images, my mind can’t help but be drawn back to the golden era of television. Each photograph is like a time capsule, transporting me back to the days when shows like Baywatch and Billions ruled our screens.

Prior to her “no makeup” phase, Pamela Anderson decided to glam up for a retrospective look at her five-year stint (1992–1997) playing lifeguard C.J. Parker in the most popular show globally, as depicted in Matthew Felker’s four-part docuseries “After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun”. This series premieres on Hulu on August 28.

“The 57-year-old beauty expressed her great sense of achievement about everything she has accomplished, but added a hint of reservation with, ‘Just about.'”

Similar to Pamela, Carmen Electra transitioned from appearing in Playboy to playing Lani McKenzie, a lifeguard, in the eighth season of Baywatch, as well as its television spin-offs, Baywatch Nights, Baywatch: White Thunder at Glacier Bay, and Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding.

In simple terms, “Baywatch was the most popular TV show. When you hear its theme song, Pamela Anderson, who played the character inspired by Princess Leia (at age 52), reminisced.”

‘It was a wild time and I was a wild chick!’

Meanwhile, Anderson was absent at the TCA press event held in Pasadena on July 10, but Carmen participated in a promotional event for “After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun,” alongside Traci Bingham, Billy Warlock, Alexandra Paul, David Chokachi, Matthew Felker, Jeremy Jackson, Nicole Eggert, and Erika Eleniak.

As a rabid devotee, I can’t help but reminisce about the rollercoaster ride that was Baywatch. From breathtaking peaks to heart-wrenching valleys, my time as Hobie Buchannon (1991-1999) left an indelible mark on me.

Nicole Eggert, famously known for portraying lifeguard Summer Quinn from 1992 to 1994, was additionally involved in the production of ‘After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun’. After a five-year long shooting period, the production concluded on June 28.

On July 26, the 52-year-old ex-child star joyfully declared that there’s no trace of cancer found in her body, a remarkable development six months after she was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive breast cancer, specifically the cribriform type.

In addition to “Baywatch: Moment in the Sun,” you’ll find an interview with David Hasselhoff, a prominent figure who played the role of lifeguard Mitch Buchannon from 1989–2000 on the show. Notably, he gained wealth through royalties earned from reruns of the series.

The 72-year-old TV actor expressed gratitude, saying, “It feels fortunate to be involved in this line of work, to hold this job, and to participate in this interview. What compels me to take part in making this documentary?”

We’re producing this documentary as Baywatch continues to be a source of ongoing inspiration for us. It has significantly enriched my personal journey.

35 individuals involved with the production, both cast members and creators, participated in “After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun.” Additionally, this documentary includes more than a decade’s worth of private footage captured by the cast themselves, which has never been seen before.

Every week, countless individuals tuned in to follow the action-packed drama series created by Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz, and Gregory J. Bonann, which ran for a total of 12 seasons between 1989 and 2001. This popular TV show later inspired a 2017 feature film that grossed an impressive $177.9 million worldwide at the box office, even with negative critical reception.
