Charlotte Crosby reveals she was  reduced to tears on Celebrity MasterChef as she details her 'emotional' time filming

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for celebrity transformations and a soft spot for reality stars who have come a long way, I must say Charlotte Crosby’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. From her humble beginnings on Geordie Shore to her recent appearance on The One Show, the mother-of-one has shown remarkable resilience and growth.

As one ardent fan and follower, I proudly joined the Geordie Shore star, aged 34, on yesterday’s episode of The One Show, sharing the screen with the delightful Edith Bowman. We reminisced about our exciting journey filming that celebrity cooking show together.

Charlotte expressed that she felt an unfounded confidence before shooting, striding in with the mindset, “I am going to emerge victorious!” towards Alex Jones and Lauren Laverne.

Initially, she felt certain, but swiftly recognized her error. The conversation between the mother of one and Laverne then focused on the challenging ordeal.

To start off, Laverne pointed out that regardless of which kitchen one is in, as long as Charlotte is present, it becomes an exceptional place. She added that entering such a space can initially feel quite intimidating.

She conveyed: “That space and studio make you feel as if you’re a child once more.”

Charlotte concurred, admitting candidly: “It’s dreadful, all the spotlight is on you. The tension – it’s truly terrifying. There was a great deal of emotion!”

Edith then confessed: ‘We both cried!’

As a food enthusiast and avid viewer of “This Morning,” I am thrilled to share that Charlotte and Edith will be welcoming Craig Doyle, Ian ‘H’ Watkins from Steps, and Snoochie Shy to their kitchen this week! With their diverse backgrounds and experiences, each guest brings a unique perspective and energy to the show. Craig’s extensive career in television, spanning over three decades, has made him an expert interviewer and a beloved figure on British screens. Ian ‘H’ Watkins, known for his successful pop career with Steps and his recent stint on “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!,” will undoubtedly share some entertaining stories from behind the scenes. Lastly, Snoochie Shy, a rising star in the world of TV and radio, is sure to bring her infectious personality and charm to the kitchen. I can’t wait to see what delicious dishes they’ll be cooking up together!

The conversation shifted towards another BBC program, Strictly Come Dancing, but Charlotte made it clear that she had no immediate plans to participate.

She admitted, ‘I’m terribly uncoordinated on a dance floor! The only move I know is the twerk, but it’s hardly graceful.’

Charlotte burst onto the showbiz scene in 2011 with Geordie Shore.

Known for her wild party lifestyle and frequent use of plastic surgery, she has recently scaled back on undergoing such procedures.

In the previous year, she chose to have her lip fillers removed, a decision she hadn’t anticipated. After initially altering her lips in 2014, she eventually decided on a more organic appearance instead.

In 2022, Charlotte gave birth to her baby girl Alba Jean alongside her partner Jake Ankers. Notably, she disclosed this information a year after a documentary about her transformation was withdrawn by Channel 5 due to complaints.

In her photo caption, Charlotte shared: ‘Simply expressing my intentions… I’m undergoing lip reduction. Never imagined saying this, but here we are.’

Instead of using fillers, they can be broken down more quickly by injecting hyaluronidase, a substance that helps dissolve them. This speeds up the natural process of dissolution that would otherwise occur gradually over time.

Earlier, Charlotte had spoken up following criticism about her undergoing cosmetic procedures such as surgery, Botox, and lip fillers, which became widely known after a 2021 documentary on Channel 5 drew attention to the topic.

After receiving approximately 7,000 complaints about a documentary to the regulatory body (Ofcom), the streaming platform chose to take it down from their service.

The show was critical of her overly-smiled expression and exaggerated pout, a criticism that followed Charlotte, who had long been the target of online bullies because of her looks.

Charlotte has freely talked about undergoing multiple cosmetic surgeries such as a rhinoplasty (nose job), lip augmentation with fillers, and breast augmentation.

Previously, Charlotte talked about getting a nose job back in 2016, which she spent around £4,000 on.

In October 2017, it was confirmed that Charlotte had a surgical procedure done to rectify her single breast, following cruel body shaming comments from internet bullies.

In an interview with Heat magazine, the well-known reality star, living with a birth condition known as congenital symmastia, openly shared that she too felt the urge to compare herself to other women, which eventually led her to opt for corrective surgery.

She admitted to the media outlet: ‘I felt self-conscious about my conjoined-boob, which made me feel less confident. It significantly restricted my clothing choices and often led people to comment, “What seems unusual about her chest?”‘

Charlotte has just appeared on The One Show following her recent trip to Australia, where she filmed the upcoming spin-off of Geordie Shore titled Aussie Shore.

Prior to this, she had some experience in the Australian entertainment industry. She participated in I’m a Celebrity Australia back in 2020, and made an appearance on The Masked Singer Australia in 2023.

On BBC One, Celebrity MasterChef comes back on Tuesday, August 13th at 8 pm. The next episode airs on Thursday at the same time, followed by another one on Friday at 9 pm.
