Last One Laughing series 2’s comics, ranked in order of who’s most likely to win

The second season of Last One Laughing is halfway over, and all ten comedians are still competing. However, host Jimmy Carr is ready to deliver more challenges, which means someone could be eliminated quickly.

As we guess who will be the first to join Jimmy and Roisin Conaty watching from the sidelines, the real question is who will ultimately win? Will Bob Mortimer defend his championship, or will someone finally beat him?

Join us for our deep dive into who is most likely to be the Last One Laughing.

10. Maisie Adam

She anticipated a complete loss of composure, admitting she often finds things funny, and it’s starting to happen – she’s not alone in struggling to keep a straight face! Maisie’s reaction is more restrained, but you can clearly see she’s fighting back laughter.

Just because things are tough doesn’t mean she’s incapable. She’s great at witty remarks, but she might need to be more resilient to handle the upcoming challenges.

9. Gbemisola Ikumelo

She admitted she has a habit of laughing loudly, almost like a hyena. After feeling relieved and starting to cry, Gbemi burst into uncontrollable laughter because of Diane’s dramatic and somewhat chaotic reading.

What to Read Next

Will Gbemi eventually crack under pressure and lose, or has she already dealt with all her challenges and is ready to succeed?

8. Romesh Ranganathan

So, Romesh tries to act all deadpan on stage, but it’s hilarious because he actually had to cut a story short once – he was cracking himself up so much he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to finish it!

Alan’s hilariously silly portrayal of the Joker has put Romesh in a tough spot – will it lead to his elimination, or will Romesh rise to the challenge?

Yes, he’s got just the spirit required to take the crown, but is that enough?

7. David Mitchell

Following his promising start, David has proven he has the endurance to compete until the end. However, his lengthy and humorous outbursts might ultimately hinder his chances.

We love David’s energetic and funny stories on Would I Lie To You? But we always wonder if he’ll accidentally reveal the truth because he’s trying so hard not to laugh.

If he paces himself, though, there’s still a chance David could make it all the way.

Oh “what a picture” that would be!

6. Alan Carr

It felt like we’d seen this before when Alan introduced himself and admitted he struggles to keep a straight face – again. This worked on The Celebrity Traitors because everyone expected it from him. But on Last One Laughing, Alan needs to control his laughter if he wants to last in the competition.

He’s managed to stay remarkably composed, avoiding any yellow cards so far. And considering his track record, it wouldn’t be surprising if Alan pulls off another unexpected move and becomes a key player.

5. Amy Gledhill

Amy could leave at any moment – she just needs to smile – but her funny, off-the-cuff comments are really getting on everyone’s nerves.

If Amy stays focused and determined, sticking to her usual method of ignoring distractions, she could surprisingly be a strong contender in the competition.

4. Bob Mortimer

50 ducks, anyone?

We definitely shouldn’t underestimate this incredibly funny performer, who’s currently winning the competition. It’s been clear he’s been enjoying himself, even while performing his own jokes. As delightful as it is to see, that’s exactly why we decided not to include him in our top three.

Honestly, I’m not sure what’s going to happen with Bob. Everyone’s abandoning him, trying to save their own skins, so it’s a total toss-up. Will he pull off an amazing win and crush the competition, or will he end up falling apart? I’m really on the edge of my seat to find out!

3. Mel Giedroyc

Jimmy declared that Mel would be first to go, but she’s holding up well with no close calls.

This show really showcases Mel at her strongest, and it seems likely she’ll cause some major shake-ups before her storyline ends—assuming anyone can actually stop her.

2. Diane Morgan

Diane excels at delivering lines with a completely straight face, and that could be enough for her to win – if she can stay focused. She’s already slipped up once, but has proven remarkably resilient under intense pressure.

Considering how well Diane handled Bob’s notoriously difficult songs, she’s a strong contender to win, thanks to her witty humor and calm demeanor.

1. Sam Campbell

Despite the group’s different approaches, Sam has stayed calm and resilient. He’s brushed off Bob’s strange jokes and keeps playfully trying to annoy Alan with ridiculous ideas.

Richard Madeley being a new face might have helped, but we believe Sam was always the stronger competitor. His relaxed personality and quirky humor already won over even Bob! Do you think Sam will ultimately win?

Last One Laughing airs on a slightly odd schedule on Prime Video.
