As a long-time fan of mixed martial arts, I’ve seen many fighters struggle with weight management throughout their careers. From my perspective, it’s truly remarkable to witness the drastic transformation Paddy undergoes each fight week – from seemingly overweight to incredibly fit in just a matter of days. It’s a testament to the dedication and discipline that these athletes possess.

AJ McKee has announced his next fight

Previously crowned Bellator champ, AJ McKee, has disclosed his upcoming bout will take place on the Professional Fighters League (PFL) card in Saudi Arabia. As of now, his opponent remains undisclosed, but this fight marks a significant return for him since he defeated Clay Collard at PFL vs. Bellator back in February.

I’m thrilled that AJ will be returning, but I’m eager to find out who his opponent might be. I hope it’s against a well-known opponent or an intriguing matchup, rather than a simple victory fight. Ideally, I’d like to see him more frequently in 2025.

Israel Adesanya thinks Dricus du Plessis is ‘privileged’

Israel Adesanya, a previous UFC middleweight champion, has targeted Dricus du Plessis before their upcoming bout at UFC 305. In an interview with TMZ Sports, Adesanya expressed his desire for du Plessis to acknowledge his comments. “He needs to own up to what he said,” Adesanya stated. Previously, Abdul Razak [Alhassan] had commented before his fight about three weeks ago, saying, “I respect Dricus, but he’s talking nonsense for what he said.” Alhassan used the term “talking nonsense” because du Plessis has been boasting about training in Africa and doing this in Africa. However, individuals like Adesanya and Razak, who were compelled to leave their own countries due to better opportunities, may not comprehend his perspective since he lives within the security of his privileged life in South Africa, enabling him to do so there.

In simpler terms, acknowledging that my perspective as a white woman in America doesn’t allow me to fully grasp the Black experience, I believe it’s crucial for all of us to pay close attention to Adesanaya’s words. His unique experiences should be respected and valued, as they are different from our own.
