Paramount Pictures is teaming up again with filmmaker Alexandre Aja to make Crawl 2

Listen up, all horror enthusiasts! We’ve got some thrilling news for you. It seems that a follow-up to the 2019 blockbuster movie Crawl, titled “Crawl 2”, is in development at Paramount Pictures. Guess who’s coming back to direct? None other than Alexandre Aja, known for his chilling films like The Hills Have Eyes and Piranha 3D. Stay tuned for more details about this highly anticipated horror flick.

Titled “Crawl 2”, it’s been reported that this sequel is being developed at Paramount. Andrew Deutschman and Jason Pagan, known for “Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension” and “Project Almanac”, are penning the screenplay. As previously stated, Aja, who directed and produced the initial film, will be back to direct the sequel. He will be producing alongside Craig Flores and Sam Raimi, who were also involved in the first movie’s production. Furthermore, Gregory Levasseur and Zainab Azizi have been confirmed as executive producers.

Unlike the original movie “Crawl,” which focused on a father-daughter pair struggling against a gator attack within their Florida home during a hurricane, the upcoming sequel, titled “Crawl 2,” will be set in the bustling metropolis of New York City (also known as the Big Apple). The storyline and characters are expected to be completely new, with no actors currently attached to the project. However, according to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, filming for the sequel is tentatively scheduled to begin in Europe this fall.
