As a game enthusiast, I wrapped up my binge-watch of House of the Dragon’s second season last week with “The Queen Who Ever Was.” It left me and many other fans in a whirlwind of surprise as numerous storylines were left hanging without resolution. Now, I get that this is an ongoing tale, but the sheer number of loose ends was staggering.
It’s important to leave them eager for more, but typically you also provide them with a taste, so they know exactly what they’re yearning for more of. The season 2 finale appeared to be an extensive setup leading to minimal rewards, and now we have the unfortunate wait until 2026 to discover the continuation.
If you were thinking about watching the end of House of the Dragon season 2 on HBO or Max tonight, there’s no need as the season has already ended. However, calling “The Queen Who Ever Was” the conclusion might be stretching it a bit.
It appears discussions suggest that additional episodes from this current season of House of the Dragon were initially intended for season 3 but got postponed instead.
