BOOM and Crystallis out of Team Secret Dota 2 roster
As an experienced gamer who has followed Team Secret for years, I must admit this recent development has left me both intrigued and concerned. The departure of Crystallis and BOOM comes as a surprise, especially since their last roster change didn’t seem to pan out as expected. The team’s social media presence is always buzzing with excitement, but the string of losses they’ve been experiencing has certainly dampened that spirit.
Although no formal declaration has been made yet, it appears that BOOM and Crystallis have used a platform to announce their departure.
Team Secret is known for being quite lively on social media, often using changes in their lineup as an opportunity to maintain their public image. Yet, when it comes to their latest decision, things didn’t go as usual; two of their players have recently announced they are leaving the team.
Surprisingly, Remco “Crystallis” Arets and Miroslav “BOOM” Bičan revealed that they are now free agents. They shared this unsolicited news on platform X.
Previously, they shared a message from Puppey, our team captain, hinting at some roster shuffles in another post. The caption read: “Things are about to shift. I’m hungry for victory.” You see, Team Secret and I have been on a losing streak, and as of now, we don’t have an official lineup yet. But rest assured, my hunger to win is stronger than ever.
In their most recent endeavor to enter a top-tier competition, Team Secret participated in The International Closed Qualifiers. During this event, they had Kordan and Shishak standing in for regular team members. Unfortunately, they were knocked out in the early stages of the lower bracket quarterfinals.
What is Team Secret’s new roster?
Few rumors have circulated regarding their latest team update, however, it’s officially confirmed and involves the TI champions, team managers, and popular Elden Ring live-streamers.
Setting humor aside, the Arteezy meme featuring Artour “Arteezy” Babaev has been around for some time. Yet, there’s a glimmer of hope because he’s returned to playing Dota 2 after a brief hiatus. With Team Secret’s lineup now solely consisting of Puppey as the captain and hard support, all other positions are up for grabs.
Other notable top tier players that are currently free agents or benched include:
- Gleb “kiyotaka” Zyryanov
- Xu “fy” Linsen
- Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov
- Kasra “Mikey” Mesbah
As a long-time fan of Dota 2 esports, I can’t help but feel a pang of excitement as the PGL Wallachia S2 closed qualifiers approach. With Team Secret having already received a direct invitation to this prestigious event, it seems their roster is set in stone for now. However, I recall that even the most established teams can make last-minute changes, and I can’t help but wonder if we might see some surprising moves from the secretive organization in the coming days.
