Layton and Josie sense a trap in Snowpiercer Season 4, Episode 4 (Preview)

As a dedicated Snowpiercer enthusiast with over a thousand episodes under my belt, I must say that Season 4 is keeping me guessing, and not always in a good way. The plot twists have been as predictable as a sunrise, and it seems the writers are playing chess while the rest of us are still learning how to move our pawns.

In some instances, the script for Snowpiercer Season 4 seems overly straightforward. One might wonder why Liana was taken if not to lead Layton into a trap?

In the closing scene of Episode 3, the inhabitants of New Eden decided to let Layton and his team embark on their journey with Big Alice in search of Snowpiercer. Not much time passed before they spotted the smaller train, and by Episode 4, we learn that Big Alice will eventually catch up to Snowpiercer.

Will they realize it’s all a trap? That certainly seems so.

Layton and Josie need to rethink their plan in Snowpiercer Season 4, Episode 4

At this stage, it’s become almost effortless for Big Alice to overtake Snowpiercer, indicating that Milius consistently maintains a significant advantage over others. It’s evident that he’s been utilizing the Greenhouse Car in a covert manner, causing harm to the food supply and modifying it with some chemical substance.

It appears that these events seem to revolve around Layton returning to Snowpiercer in hopes of finding his daughter. Nevertheless, being intelligent individuals, Layton and Josie are not easily fooled when it comes to their own self-interest. If Layton isn’t motivated by personal desires, he can strategize considering others’ plans. Given that, they discern this could be a trap. Consequently, they devise an alternate plan to board Snowpiercer.

It’s also worth noting that Nima seems to be developing some courage, as he’s reluctant about Milius’s plan and appears powerless to stop it at this moment. However, we discover that he makes a move by going to the Greenhouse Car to disarm whatever trap has been laid for Layton. The uncertainty lies in whether Nima truly stands with Layton or if he has his own objectives. Given his profession as a chemist, it’s evident that he harbors additional intentions, but they may not be as malicious as Milius’s plans.

Take a look at the synopsis for Snowpiercer Season 4, Episode 4:

Big Alice catches up to Snowpiercer; Milius radios them, inviting Layton over; sensing a trap, Layton and Josie sneak onto Snowpiercer; Nima is worried Layton will be gassed and attempts to disarm the Greenhouse Car.
