You can now watch the FBI drama The Blacklist on Channel 4 in the UK. The show, which first aired in 2013, has been praised as both captivating and full of suspense. It stars James Spader as Raymond Reddington, a famous criminal who surprisingly begins working with the FBI, despite being one of their most wanted fugitives.
He’s willing to help the police catch other criminals, but only if he’s allowed to partner with the new agent, Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone).
I loved the supporting cast too – guys like Diego Klattenhoff, Ryan Eggold, Amir Arison, Hisham Tawfiq, and Harry Lennix all really made the show for me!

After a successful ten-season run and multiple awards, including an Emmy, The Blacklist concluded in 2023.
The show led to the creation of a spin-off series called The Blacklist: Redemption, plus it inspired novels, a comic book series, and a video game.

You can currently watch the first eight seasons of the show on Channel 4. For seasons 9 and 10, head over to NOW TV or Sky.
Currently, The Blacklist has a 91% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Notably, its sixth season received a perfect score, which is a rare achievement for a television show.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Blacklist had a very strong debut. While James Spader’s performance alone is enough to keep viewers engaged, the show made a powerful first impression.

According to Slate, The Blacklist is completely uninhibited, but also surprisingly clever in how it goes about things, even if it’s a bit calculating.
Both TV Fanatic and TV Guide praised The Blacklist, with TV Fanatic calling it mysterious and compelling, and TV Guide describing it as delightfully criminal.
Viewers frequently drew comparisons between the show and Hannibal. According to the Buffalo News, it’s been compared to both Silence of the Lambs and the less popular NBC series Hannibal. However, the Buffalo News noted that James Spader’s performance gives The Blacklist broader appeal and a greater chance of success than Hannibal had.
Entertainment Weekly simply put it: “Here and now, The Blacklist is top-of-the-list escapism.”
I recently read a review in Time Out Chicago that pretty much hit the nail on the head about The Blacklist. They said it’s a bit over-the-top and cheesy, but ultimately, it’s really enjoyable to watch!
The Blacklist seasons 1-8 are streaming now on Channel 4.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant, full-color magazine celebrating Harry Styles, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
