Spencer Matthews reveals injury scare could have ended his desert marathon challenge after ringing in his 36th birthday in style

During an interview, Spencer Matthews disclosed that a foot injury occurred after his 36th birthday festivities in the Jordanian desert, potentially jeopardizing his upcoming marathon race.
On Heart Breakfast with JK and Kelly Brook last Friday, Spencer, aged 36, confessed that prior to treatment by his physiotherapist Johnny, he struggled to apply much weight on his foot.
On Spencer’s special day during our interview, I took a moment to join in his birthday celebrations prior to inquiring about his physical well-being.
Afterward, Spencer disclosed that without the help of his physiotherapist, his body wouldn’t function properly due to the guidance he provided regarding the issue.
He mentioned: ‘Johnny, the physiotherapist, made it possible for me to continue the challenge despite a minor injury I had recently. I was worried that it might be the end of the challenge because I couldn’t put weight on my right foot. Johnny then suggested some ways to manage the issue.’
As someone who has had their fair share of broken items and faulty appliances, I can attest to the magic of a skilled repairman. One time, my favorite watch stopped ticking during a crucial meeting. After a hasty 10-minute fix, he slowed down, carefully examined it, and later that evening, he delicately went through the process again. To my astonishment, the next day, it was like I had just bought a brand new watch. I couldn’t believe my eyes – the repairman truly worked his magic!
As a die-hard fan from day one, I’ve put my trust in this team unwaveringly. Let me make it clear that I’m not just flying solo; the support and guidance of incredible individuals surrounding me have been instrumental. Without their assistance, I wouldn’t have been able to carry on with such conviction. It’s safe to say, there’s no way things could turn out any other way.
Earlier, Spencer had mentioned his longing for his wife, Vogue Williams (age 38). Not too long ago, on his 36th birthday, he enjoyed a special celebration with his team.
Talking about his 36th birthday celebration, Spencer mentioned that instead of returning to their regular camp, they went to stay at a unique location, which he described as an eco-tourist spot. This place had structures with actual walls, ceilings, doors, and windows. He asked Chris if there was a specific term for such a place.
He continued: ‘They made necklaces for me out of rocks and tin cans and all kinds of stuff. And I got a massive cake. So, I have to say, I felt very special, and it was a complete surprise. So, rock on the team.’
Spencer is participating in a grueling challenge, where he’ll run 30 marathons over 30 consecutive days across the scorching Jordanian desert this summer, all to support the noble cause of Global’s Make Some Noise charity.
After Spencer unveiled his eagerness to meet his wife Vogue, following his successful completion of his ninth consecutive marathon for charity in the Jordanian desert on his 36th birthday, he eagerly awaits her presence.
During a conversation about his wife Vogue and her opinions on the marathon, Spencer admitted that they manage to communicate whenever possible, but unfortunately, the phone service where he is is extremely poor.
JK expressed appreciation: “Spencer, thank you so incredibly, you’re truly a hero in my eyes for your actions. I wonder, what might Vogue think about it right now?”
Spencer frankly responded with: ‘Well, you realize, our communication is sporadic due to poor service here. However, whenever I can manage it…’
JK and Kelly comforted Spencer by claiming the service was fine on their end.
JK said: ‘Oh yeah, whatever! I mean, the service has been totally fine this morning, Spencer.’
While Kelly confessed: ‘Crystal clear!’
After a light-hearted comment, Spencer clarified: “I’ve actually got some radio work, specifically for you! Unfortunately, we don’t often travel to villages. I’m here today to ensure our conversation is clear.”
I don’t get a chance with Vogue as often as I’d like, but I adore her deeply and have been longing for her return. She seems more at ease now that she has achieved nine milestones, and I eagerly anticipate seeing her again.
