Alan Ritchson, the star of the popular Prime Video series Reacher, is now being investigated following an alleged assault. The investigation began after TMZ published video footage of a physical fight between Ritchson and a neighbor in Brentwood, Tennessee. Initially, the cause of the fight was unclear, but the released video appeared to show Ritchson attacking his neighbor, hitting him several times before leaving on his motorcycle. The footage only showed a portion of the incident.

Ronnie Taylor, the neighbor who had a run-in with actor Alan Ritchson (known for playing Jack Reacher), has shared his side of the story with TMZ. Taylor says he’d previously complained about Ritchson’s noisy motorcycle and that they exchanged rude gestures. The situation worsened the next day when Ritchson returned with two other people on dirt bikes – reportedly his children. Taylor went outside to address the noise, which led to a shouting match with the actor.

Brentwood Police Captain Steve Pepin has confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that they are officially investigating the incident. So far, no one has been arrested. The situation is regrettable, particularly because a video released by TMZ makes actor Alan Ritchson, known for Reacher, appear aggressive, though reports suggest the video doesn’t show the full story.

Taylor recently shared that he actually initiated the physical altercation, not Alan Ritchson. Previous reports and the released video suggested Ritchson attacked Taylor without provocation. However, Taylor explained that he walked in front of Ritchson, causing him to fall off his bike, and then taunted Ritchson to hit him. This escalated the situation, leading to Taylor shoving Ritchson and the subsequent fight captured on video. While Taylor sustained bruises during the fight, it’s now clear that Ritchson was also injured in the fall from his bike.

Alan Ritchson is currently enjoying success with his role in Reacher, following his work on the Netflix film War Machine and a project about Navy SEAL Mike Thornton, which was filmed in Australia. The quick succession of these roles highlights how highly sought-after Ritchson has become.
