Travis Scott has disorderly intoxication charge DROPPED but trespassing charge remains - after getting into a fight on a yacht in Miami

As a seasoned observer of the ever-evolving world of celebrity, I must say that the life of Travis Scott has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. From his meteoric rise to fame as a rapper, to his tumultuous romantic relationships, and most recently, the tragic event at Astroworld, it seems like every turn brings a new challenge for him to navigate.

In a turn of events that’s got me jumping with joy, it seems I can let out a sigh of relief as Travis Scott has managed to dodge a disorderly intoxication charge following an altercation aboard a yacht in the vibrant city of Miami during our shared summer months.

On Thursday, as reported by TMZ, the artist behind the popular song “Sicko Mode” at age 33 (originally known as Jacques Bermon Webster) saw one of his significant court cases dismissed.

Previously dating Kylie Jenner, an individual was apprehended and detained by police due to creating a disruptive scene under the influence of alcohol aboard a yacht in Miami Beach. Meanwhile, this person posted ‘lol’ on their social media platform during the incident.

Travis was not in attendance at the most recent legal proceeding.

Unfortunately, I can’t hide my disappointment as a devoted fan, because it seems like the authorities in Florida are pressing ahead with a misdemeanor trespassing charge against the man who means so much to me – the father of two.

He is scheduled to go to trial for the misdemeanor charge on September 10.

In June, it was reported that the rapper was taken into custody during the night due to drunken misconduct and unlawful entry at the marina, as stated in an affidavit reviewed by DailyMail.com.

Early on Thursday morning at approximately 4:35 AM, Scott was admitted to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center due to the two misdemeanor charges, as indicated in the court documents.

The Houston-born rapper – who has two young children, Stormi and Aire, with Kylie Jenner – was arrested by police at the Miami Beach Marina at 1:17 am.

The rapper was involved in ‘a disturbance on a yacht’ which involved people ‘fighting’, according to police. Scott’s lawyer Bradford Cohen told DailyMail.com the fight was verbal in nature and ‘there was absolutely no physical altercation involved’.

According to the affidavit, ten officers arrived at the boat and discovered that Scott was near the dock, shouting at the people inside the vessel.

Despite attempts to calm the situation by requesting that Scott take a seat, he persistently got up again and ignored their instructions, as the logs show.

The police stated that there was a noticeable scent of alcohol emanating from Scott’s breath, and Sergeant Lemus cautioned him to depart from the dock or risk being taken into custody.

According to the affidavit, as the defendant made his lengthy journey from the ship to the dock, he was walking backward and shouting vulgar language towards the people aboard the ship.

As a devoted follower, once I found myself back at my vehicle, I instructed one of my security personnel to exit our SUV, ensuring we wouldn’t depart from the current location prematurely.

Subsequently, it seemed as though he warned his personal security officer, informing the police that if the guard entered the vehicle, he would be involved in a physical altercation, or more casually, a fight.

Ultimately, the rapper followed the officer’s instructions to depart. However, only a few minutes had passed when he spun around and returned, stirring up even more trouble.

According to the police report, Scott resumed shouting loudly and acting unpredictably, disrupting the tranquility of the marina and neighboring homes, leading to a public disturbance.

He was detained and taken to Miami-Dade corrections facility.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, when asked about my consumption of alcohol, I candidly acknowledged, “Well, it’s the vibrant nightlife in Miami that often tempts me.”

The 33-year-old submitted a $650 bond – which includes $500 for the trespass charge, and $150 for disorderly intoxication.

Scott’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, informed DailyMail.com that the rapper was momentarily held back because of a misinterpretation.

Cohen stated that there were no instances of physical fighting, and he expressed gratitude to the authorities for their cooperation in reaching a quick and friendly settlement.

In a recent mugshot shared by the Miami Dade Corrections facility, the rapper from Astroworld looked drowsy and emotionless.

He appeared to respond on social media with a tweet simply reading ‘lol’ at 8.45am Thursday.

The reservation is made mere days prior to his Circus Maximus stadium tour starting internationally, with the first show scheduled for June 28 in the Netherlands.

Scott was recently spotted enjoying a family vacation in St Tropez.

He was pictured on a boat with his daughter Stormi and son Aire late May – kids he shares with his ex-girlfriend Kylie Jenner.

The previous week, Scott was involved in a skirmish with Jenner’s previous ex Tyga, 34, in Cannes.

Since 2017, Travis and the founder of Kylie Cosmetics, who is now 26 years old, have experienced periods of being on and off in their relationship. However, at this moment, they are no longer a couple.

Back in 2017, I became part of a beautiful love story when Kylie and Travis ignited their relationship. After a while, we experienced some ups and downs that led to a separation in October 2019. But before that, in February 2018, our little miracle entered the world, making us proud parents for the first time.

In August 2021, it became officially known that the pair were going to have their second child together, following speculation that Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott had supposedly rekindled their relationship.

In January 2023, it became official that Kylie and Travis called off their relationship again, following a renewal of their romance back in 2020.

As someone who has been involved in the music industry for many years and witnessed numerous instances of artists facing legal troubles, I have seen firsthand how it can impact their careers and personal lives. In this case, the rapper Scott is facing a civil lawsuit following the tragic incident at his concert in 2021 where ten people lost their lives due to a crowd surge. It’s heartbreaking to see such a loss of life, especially when it could have been prevented with proper planning and safety measures. I hope that this serves as a wake-up call for all artists and event organizers to prioritize the safety of their fans above everything else. The consequences of negligence can be devastating, not only for those who are directly affected but also for the reputation and future of the artist involved. It’s important to remember that we have a responsibility to protect and care for our fans, and this incident serves as a reminder of the power and influence that artists wield. May this serve as a lesson for all those in the industry to prioritize safety and learn from past mistakes.

Earlier, it became known that Scott felt deeply affected by the tragedy at the Astroworld festival held on November 5, 2021, in Houston, Texas, where a disaster took place.

The musician shared with GQ that he frequently reflects on the catastrophe and has experienced challenging periods during the past two years while working on his return album titled Utopia.

Individuals, ranging from 9 to 27 years old, succumbed to compression asphixiation, a condition likened to being run over by a vehicle.

The celebrity expressed his sorrow over his unsuccessful endeavor to establish Houston as a city equivalent to New York and Los Angeles, a dream that aimed to motivate children. However, this aspiration was thwarted, a situation he earlier described as wanting to be a ‘hometown hero’ rather than a ‘villain.’

On December 2021, following the events of November 5, Scott had a conversation with podcaster Charlemagne Tha God in an interview setting.

During the interview, Scott pointed out that his assistant should have advised him earlier to halt the performance, as he himself was unaware and not accountable for the tragic incident of the stampede and crowd compression.

Scott asserted that he was absolutely positive he took every possible measure to avert the catastrophe, and insists he didn’t catch the distress calls from the crowd as it spiraled out of control.

When questioned about his decision, he replied, “Life unfolds in its own way, and this period has been particularly challenging for me. I’m simply trying to understand and navigate through the situation.”

‘My heart wasn’t there to be the villain—I was there to be a hometown hero.’
