Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer has “no f**king idea what’s going on” with season 3
As a dedicated fan who’s followed Hunter Schafer’s journey since her breakout role in Euphoria, I can’t help but empathize with her current predicament. The young actress, with her captivating performances and undeniable talent, has become a beacon of hope for the new generation of artists. Yet, the uncertainty surrounding season 3 of Euphoria seems to cast a shadow over her shining star.
Hunter Schafer has said her return to hit HBO show Euphoria will be “tough”.
In a change of pace from her role in “The Hunger Games,” she has taken on the character of Jules Vaughn in the teen drama. However, there is uncertainty about the state of season 3 due to production delays.
As a dedicated gamer eagerly waiting for news about the upcoming game, I must confess, I’m clueless about the current status. Despite reports suggesting filming will start in 2025, the developer herself has admitted, “I haven’t got the slightest idea what’s happening.”
She mentioned during her interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast that you’re free to inquire about every single member of the cast. Intriguingly, a great deal has transpired, she added.
As a gamer reflecting on my digital world, I can’t help but ponder the loss of my fellow player, Angus Cloud, and our game producer, Kevin Turen, who tragically left us in the year 2023. Their absence leaves a void in our gaming community that will take time to heal.
As a devoted gamer, I can’t help but feel an exciting mix of anxiety and curiosity about whether we’ll embark on Season 3. Frankly, the aftermath of what transpired and losing characters who were dear to us, part of our gaming family, still lingers heavily in my mind. If we return, facing those challenges will undoubtedly be tough.
“It seems there’s a possibility to transform the upcoming season into something stunning, provided it gets made. However, the recent events took everyone by surprise and left us all quite bewildered.”
In the upcoming, Schafer will appear on screen together with Dan Stevens in a bizarre horror movie titled “Cuckoo“, which is helmed by director Tilman Singer.
Debuted on August 23 in the UK, this movie chronicles the journey of 17-year-old Gretchen (Schafer) as she unwillingly accompanies her father Luis (Marton Csokas), stepmother Beth (Jessica Henwick), and silent half-sister Alma (Mila Lieu) on a move from the U.S. to a secluded resort nestled in the German Alps.
Upon their arrival, I spot Herr König (Stevens), my dad’s superior, showing an unusual fascination towards Alma. It doesn’t take long before a chilling, ominous scheme linked to this very lodge starts to unfold, making me feel uneasy.
In a recent chat with GLAAD, Schafer expressed his affection for the story and Tilman’s craftsmanship, including the direction. He went on to say that he would have been eager to portray any character in this film, simply wanting to contribute to its creation.
Euphoria airs on HBO in the US and on NOW and Sky Atlantic in the UK.
