Okay, so everyone’s buzzing about Robert Irwin! I spotted him looking incredibly happy with Ashleigh Scully, a wildlife photographer from the US, and honestly, they seemed adorable together. It definitely looks like a potential new romance is blossoming for him!
Robert Irwin, 22, is currently filming a US version of Dancing With The Stars called The Next Pro.
Robert seemed relaxed and at ease with Ashleigh as they were photographed entering a parking garage on the Gold Coast.
Cutting quite the dapper figure, he wore a blue polo shirt that he matched with a pair of jeans.
He was also spotted carrying a print-out – possibly the run sheet for that day’s filming schedule.
Meanwhile, Ashleigh wore a sleeveless navy blue dress and carried a light-coloured jacket.
The 24-year-old completed her look with a brown leather shoulder bag and black sunglasses worn on top of her head.
The couple met up with another woman, and the three of them were laughing and talking as they got out of the car.
Although Robert and Ashleigh didn’t publicly confirm they’re dating, many believe they’d be a perfect couple.
Ashleigh is a wildlife photographer who focuses on capturing images of animals in the Arctic and beneath the water.
Similar to Robert, Ashleigh discovered her love for photography when she was young, starting at the age of eight.
In 2021, the North American Nature Photography Association recognized her as an exceptional young nature photographer.
Ashleigh is not only a talented photographer, but also a skilled athlete. She’s been named captain of the Texas Christian University (TCU) equestrian team for the 2024-25 season.
The multi-talent also holds a BA and MA in Literature from TCU.
Rumours about a romance between the pair have been swirling for quite some time.
In 2019, Woman’s Day reported that Robert, who was 15 at the time, had become friends with Ashleigh after meeting her in the United States.
The pair also sit on the judging panel for the Crikey! Magazine Photography Competition.
Rumors started flying in February when the two were seen deep sea diving with American TV star Dylan Efron.
One photo showed Robert sitting next to Ashleigh in a boat, decked out in scuba gear.
They looked chuffed to be in each other’s company, beaming as they posed for the group happy snap.
Many were quick to comment on the photo, suggesting that it was a ‘soft launch’ for the couple.
One fan gushed about a woman who’s an American wildlife photographer since childhood, a college athlete, and holds a master’s degree in literature, calling her a perfect match for someone.
Someone else agreed, saying it was even sweeter knowing they’d been friends for so long, and added, ‘Oh my gosh!’
Robert has largely kept his personal life out of the spotlight in recent years.
During his winning stint on US Dancing With The Stars, Robert was linked to actress Xochitl Gomez.
He previously dated Rorie Buckley, who is the niece of the late Australian actor Heath Ledger.
The couple first appeared together publicly on the red carpet in July 2023, but their relationship ended by February 2024.
