Brad Pitt and George Clooney’s new action-comedy film Wolfs lands sequel ahead of its release in theaters
As a dedicated follower of Hollywood, I must say that the news about the sequel to “Wolfs” has me absolutely thrilled! The chemistry between Brad Pitt and George Clooney is something that never fails to entertain, and their collaboration once again promises an unforgettable experience.
Even before its debut at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, set to occur weeks later, the upcoming movie “Wolves” starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney has already secured a follow-up project.
On Wednesday, according to THR, it was disclosed that Jon Watts, director and screenwriter of Wolf, has secured a new agreement with Apple for directing a follow-up to an upcoming action-comedy movie.
Deadline confirmed that Pitt and Clooney will reprise their roles for the follow-up project.
In the course of the major unveiling, it was simultaneously disclosed that the series “Wolfs” is set to debut on Apple TV+ on September 27, with a selective, one-week theater run by Sony preceding its online premiere.
Originally, Wolf was intended to move from a broad theatrical launch to streaming on Apple TV+, but this is no longer the plan.
In a twist of events, two lone-working troubleshooters, each proficient in their field, are compelled to team up due to an overlapping assignment they’ve both been tasked with.
As a devoted follower, I find myself not only in the limelight as one of the leading actors but also contributing behind the scenes as a producer. Working alongside George Clooney’s Smokehouse and Brad Pitt’s Plan B productions, I am joined by fellow stars like Julia Roberts (Watts), and a team consisting of Grant Heslov, Diane McGunigle, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner. Together, we strive to bring this project to life.
Michael Beugg will executive produce the film.
In addition to Amy Ryan, the lineup includes Austin Abrams, Poorna Jagannathan, Richard Kind, Zlatko Burič, and several other talented actors.
Jon Watts is primarily recognized for directing the latest Spider-Man trilogy produced by Sony, which includes both co-writing “Homecoming” (2017) and helming its sequel, “No Way Home” (2021). This final chapter broke box office records with a worldwide gross of $1.923 billion while operating on a budget of $200 million.
For the seventh time, wolves (symbolically representing Pitt and Clooney) will collaborate on a movie set in their distinguished careers within the glamorous world of Hollywood.
In the realm of my personal experience as a lifestyle enthusiast, I made my debut in Ocean’s Eleven back in 2001. This was followed by Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, then the sequels Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen in 2004 and 2007 respectively. The thrilling ride continued with Burn After Reading in 2008. Fast forward to the future, I’ve got a voice role in an animated feature titled If, set for release in 2024. And just when you thought you knew it all, here I am again in another exciting project named Wolfs, also slated for 2024.
Although neither of the pair didn’t receive major awards for their films together, the movie “Burn After Reading” did win the award for Best Original Score For A Comedy Film at the International Film Music Critics Association Awards in 2009. This victory came among the 24 nominations it received shortly after its premiere.
I’m thrilled to share that the movie “Wolfs” will be making its debut outside the main competition at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, happening from August 28th to September 7th. Can’t wait to see it on the big screen!
Apple intends to keep its production of the Formula One sports action-drama F1, starring Brad Pitt and directed by Joseph Kosinski with Jerry Bruckheimer as producer, on track for a global theatrical release on June 25, 2025. In the United States, the release is scheduled for June 27, 2025.
