As a long-time fan of Coronation Street, I must say the current storyline involving Tyrone and Alina has me intrigued. Having followed their tumultuous relationship for years, it’s fascinating to see how their past continues to haunt them.

Viewers of Coronation Street suspect that two characters may meet their demise in forthcoming episodes of this popular ITV soap opera.

People following the soap opera set on cobblestone streets would recognize that Ruxandra Porojnicu reappeared in the series on Wednesday, portraying the character Alina Pop.

Her character is most notably associated with her past connections to Tyrone Dobbs, played by Alan Halsall, who at present is wedded to Fiz Stape, portrayed by Jennie McAlpine.

It appears that Alina has returned to stir up more problems for the couple, since their latest show episode found her running into Fiz at Freshco.

She had not been seen on the cobblestones since 2021, but during her recent visit, she stunned everyone by confessing that mechanic Tyrone is actually the father of her son, Dobin.

In a different segment of the same show, soap opera villain Joel Deering (Calum Lill) is being threatened by Betsy Swain, portrayed by Sydney Martin.

More recently, it was discovered that Betsy is, in fact, Lisa Swain’s daughter, the one who has been pursuing him since Lauren went missing.

Due to the perilous directions in which their narratives seem to be unfolding, many viewers predict that characters Alina and Betty may meet an untimely end on the soap opera in upcoming episodes.

Supporters flocked to X (previously known as Twitter), voicing their worries and sharing their theories about future events, by posting:

‘#corrie #coronationstreet Is anyone else wanting Betsy to be killed off by Joel?’

‘So that’s Alina probably dead by xmas and Tyrone and fizz raising the kiddo #Corrie.’

With Alina now having a child with her, there’s an estimated 90% likelihood that she will pass away by the end of this year on “Corrie.”

I’m thrilled to be reunited with Alina once more, but I can’t shake off the fear for her safety, considering Corrie’s past actions towards Natasha, Kirsty, Katy Armstrong, and its treatment of young single mothers in general. #corrie

‘I can see a future storyline of Joel Killing Betsy #Corrie.’

I’ve been a longtime fan of Coronation Street, and it seems like the writers are following a tired old pattern once again. They might be planning to write off Alina, forcing Fiz and Tyrone to raise her baby on their own. It’s just another predictable twist in a series that often feels stuck in a rut. I can’t help but feel frustrated as a viewer, wishing for more original storylines and character development. #sameoldstory #Corrie

‘Betsy’s gonna be dead #corrie.’

Following Alan Halsall’s recent disclosure about his ongoing, intense storyline on the soap opera, there’s been an increase in intriguing conjecture.

He said Tyrone’s discovery he has a son with Alina ‘puts a spanner in the works’ with his relationship with Fiz.

Alan shared with The Mirror that since Jennie is on maternity leave, there hasn’t been much opportunity to witness the peaceful family life of Ty and Fiz, including their two children and grandmother.

Reversing things so swiftly, with Alina arriving accompanied by a child – this is bound to cause division among many, and that’s just within our immediate family.

Apologies for the play on words, but it seems like a major hiccup for Tyrone. He’s basking in this peaceful family life, and the last thing he craves is any disruption to that harmony.

I understand that Alan believes Tyrone might initially try to downplay Alina’s presence and her challenges, perhaps due to some initial discomfort or uneasiness. However, being a family-oriented person at heart, I strongly feel that in the long run, Tyrone will make decisions that align with what is right for his family dynamics.

At first, Alina found herself right in the thick of a narrative centered around contemporary enslavement. This story arc led her to arrive in the U.K., having been transported here via a human trafficking network.

When she fell pregnant, Tyrone told her he was staying by Fiz.

A devastated Alina then told the mechanic she was returning to Romania to raise their child alone.

She’s now back in Weatherfield because she’s a witness in a trial against traffickers.

In a recent conversation, she expressed that her character requires additional respite from the bustling street environment. During the past two years, she’s undeniably made progress in healing, but there remains a need for more time and distance to truly recuperate.

‘But we’ll see where this takes her.’

In the year 2001, Tyrone and Fiz shared their first screen kiss, and approximately two decades afterward, they were still together romantically.

However they split up when after he had an affair with Alina.

After the two characters kissed, Tyrone dumped Fiz and declared his love for Alina.

He finally married Fiz on Christmas Day in 2022.
