Helen Flanagan's Celebs Go Dating coach Anna Williamson reveals 'why the actress is still single' after split from ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair

As a seasoned observer of celebrity lives, I must say Helen Flanagan’s journey is both inspiring and heartwarming. The former Coronation Street actress, now a single mother of three, has navigated her personal life with grace and humor, showing resilience in the face of adversity. Her candid admissions about co-parenting and dating struggles resonate with many women who have walked similar paths.

According to dating coach Anna Williamson, who works with Helen Flanagan on Celebs Go Dating, there are reasons why the actress remains unattached after her unexpected breakup with former fiancé Scott Sinclair.

As a devoted partner for over thirteen years, sharing our lives since 2009, my former co-star from Coronation Street and I parted ways in the year 2022. Together, we are blessed with three beautiful children: Matilda, aged eight, Delilah, five, and charming Charlie, who just turned three.

On the dating show, it’s mentioned that Helen, who is seeking ‘the one’, has been grappling with issues related to self-confidence, as suggested by the relationship advisor from E4.

Anna, aged 43, stated that the difficulty Helen experiences in finding love can be attributed to the fact that she emerged from a thirteen-year relationship during her thirties, and at the same time was responsible for raising her three young children.

Prior to the comeback of Celebs Go Dating, Anna shared with The Sun, “For the very first time in Helen’s life, she finds herself single… Despite being incredibly powerful and accomplished in various aspects of her life, she hasn’t found success in love.”

Certainly, I can help with that!

In my perspective, during my twenties, there’s usually an era of exploration and freedom without much pressure. However, in my thirties, responsibilities tend to pile up. Yet, this particular individual seems to be navigating life backwards, so it makes perfect sense that she might be feeling out of her depth or uncomfortable with the situation.

Anna emphasized significantly the impact of Helen’s presence in the show, stating that the actress could serve as an inspirational figure or “poster woman” for single mothers who have recently ended relationships and are navigating dating challenges.

On Wednesday, Helen disclosed the genuine cause for her separation from Scott, sharing insights into their relationship.

Despite having deep feelings for one another, they surprisingly can’t stand one another.

In a chat with Charlotte Dawson on her Naughty Corner podcast, Helen shared that she continues to have deep feelings for him, but their personalities simply don’t mesh well.

It seems we have a hard time connecting, as if we were oil and water. However, despite our differences, I believe there is a part of Scott that deeply cares for me and cherishes his feelings for me.

As a devoted admirer, I find myself at a crossroads – exhausted and spent. No more relationships for me that are riddled with constant quarrels. My reservoir of disputes seems to have run dry; I simply can’t engage in another disagreement.

In my case, as a woman, I’ve always strived to keep things going with the children’s father and I’ve managed to do so. However, if I were to be in another relationship, it would need to be effortless because I don’t have the energy left to go through what I did with the father of my kids again.

Helen added that co-parenting is quite amusing, explaining that they make an effort to keep their distance to prevent disagreements from occurring in front of their children.

She continued: ‘I’ve been a single mum for two years now. Co-parenting is hilarious, we were together for 13 years.

The last occasion we met, I found it amusing, as I teased him playfully since he wore a bucket hat. It appeared to me that he was attempting to suppress his laughter.

In simple terms, he resides in Bath while I call North Manchester home, which is approximately a five-hour drive apart. We arrange to meet in Birmingham, where we swap items and spend time with our children.

He’s putting items into my shoe, and to ease the tension, I began making fun of his bucket hat.

To maintain a positive living environment for our children, we choose to avoid residing under the same roof. I prefer to minimize their exposure to any potential disagreements between us.

Elsewhere in the chat, Helen admitted she was previously on celebrity dating app Raya.

She said: ‘Being single is, wow. There are some awful men out there.

‘I did have Raya on my phone and Matilda would sit on my phone and she would go through the guys on the dating app and would laugh at them. She would go to school and be like, “my mum has a boys app”.

In my own personal experience, I used to have that app, and I went on a few dates through it, but to be honest, I found myself feeling somewhat uncomfortable during those encounters. However, at the start, it was quite amusing and entertaining.

Her recent interview follows the disclosure by Celeb Go Dating’s relationship expert, Anna Williamson, aged 42, that Helen nearly got removed from the program due to a breach of the agency’s rules regarding one specific guideline.

Discussing an upcoming juicy TV show, Anna shared with The Sun: “I’m really fond of Helen.”

As someone who has been following ‘Celebs Go Dating’ since its inception, I must say that Helen’s storyline this season is undeniably the most gripping cliffhanger we’ve ever seen. Her journey has been nothing short of captivating and unexpected, making it a standout moment in the show’s history. The tension and anticipation surrounding her romantic future have kept viewers on the edge of their seats, eagerly waiting to find out what happens next.

Two weeks back, Helen was just a hairbreadth away from being expelled from the agency. Her actions were massive and clearly violated every rule established within the agency.

Helen will appear on the next series of Celebs Go Dating alongside a host of other famous faces.
