Disney shuffles its movie slate and adds multiple untitled movie dates ahead of D23

As a seasoned gamer and avid moviegoer who has been following Disney’s cinematic universe for over two decades, this latest update on their movie slate feels like a rollercoaster ride that never seems to slow down. With Comic-Con and D23 Expo back-to-back, it’s almost as if the Mouse House is trying to keep us on our toes!

Following Comic-Con and on the eve of the D23 Expo, Disney has reorganized its future film lineup. Several movies that were earlier announced have either been dropped or renamed. Moreover, Disney has inserted numerous unnamed movies into the schedule.

As a lifelong fan of Disney, I am always eagerly awaiting updates on their upcoming movie projects. With my childhood memories filled with classic Disney films and my adulthood continued to be enchanted by the magical world of Marvel, Pixar, and Disney Animation, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement every time they release a new calendar update. The variety of genres, characters, and stories that these studios offer never cease to amaze me, and I eagerly anticipate seeing what fresh and innovative ideas they will bring to the big screen next.

As a die-hard gamer, I’ve got some exciting news to share about my favorite superhero universe! Some changes in the release dates are mirroring the announcements made by Marvel Studios at San Diego Comic-Con last month. For instance, “Avengers: Doomsday” is now set to hit the big screen on May 1, 2026, replacing the earlier announced “Avenger: The Kang Dynasty”. Furthermore, the titles and release dates for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” and “Thunderbolts” have also been revised.

Despite no significant updates since its initial announcement in 2019, Marvel’s Blade, scheduled for release on November 7, 2025, persists on the calendar. The much-awaited movie stars Mahershala Ali, but as of now, it lacks a director. There has been no information regarding the film’s production status, leading to speculation that it might be postponed, as there were no updates at Comic-Con.
