Warner Bros. Apparently Considering Selling a Stake in its Video Games Business
As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen the rise and fall of numerous gaming giants. From Atari to Sega, Nintendo to Sony, each has had its moments of glory and despair. Now, it seems Warner Bros., a name synonymous with some of my favorite games, is considering selling a stake in its video game business.
According to a report in the Financial Times, Warner Bros. is contemplating the possibility of selling a portion of their video game division.
Based on information from VGC, Warner Bros. is considering this move due to a significant decrease of approximately 70% in their share price since the WarnerMedia-Discovery merger, which took place in 2022.
It seems they are contemplating deals for the Polish broadcaster TVN as well as a share in its video game division.
As a longtime fan of Warner Bros. movies and video games, I must say that the scale of their interactive division is truly impressive. With twelve studios under its belt, it’s clear that they are making a significant impact in the entertainment industry. Having worked in a smaller studio myself, I can only imagine the resources, creativity, and innovation that such a large organization brings to the table. It’s inspiring to think about the amazing projects that could come out of these studios, and I can’t wait to see what they create next.

The latest major hit produced by Warner Bros., titled Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, didn’t create a global sensation. However, it was quite enjoyable.
