Call the Midwife confirms new cast member for Christmas special
As a devoted fan of Call the Midwife, I must say that my heart skips a beat every time there’s a new cast addition! The series has always been a magical journey for me, transporting me to another era with its captivating stories and exceptional performances.
Call the Midwife has confirmed a new cast member for its upcoming Christmas special.
The latest backstage image from the BBC series features several young actors, indicating that Myla Park is now part of the main cast.
In the company of April Rae Hoang, Alice Brown (known as Angela), and Edward Shaw (nicknamed Ned), the show “Call the Midwife” hinted at a delightful acting debut from its latest cast member in an upcoming episode.
During filming, the four kids developed strong friendships, particularly on extended shooting days with a big cast. This close bond is evident in these scenes.
The miniature constellation decided to memorialize their special moment just like in movies, taking a clapperboard photo. Fortunately, our camera crew had a miniaturized version on hand!
“When you encounter [Myla] again, it will likely be in a more intense situation… however, for now, we must keep our conversation confidential, take care xx.”
A post about the Instagram star joining the series was published on her own account, expressing her enthusiasm.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I’ve been chosen for BBC1’s Call The Midwife Series 14 Christmas Day special! Filming this was an incredible journey, and I cherished every moment of my first television acting experience.”
Park has previously toured the UK and Ireland with Annie the Musical.
Alongside our upcoming Christmas special, production is also being carried out for the new season 14 of “Call the Midwife”, which has recently sparked excitement with a sneak peek cast image.
Showcasing a scene with the cast seated around a dining table, the show’s main page hinted: “Every character in our group-focused series carries their own story, whether they speak or remain silent.”
“This photo shows a significant discussion taking place among the Nonnatuns. The hit show ‘Call the Midwife’ is back with a special Christmas episode, and we can look forward to series 14 in 2025.”
Call the Midwife airs on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
