As a seasoned Tekken player with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that this latest update for TEKKEN 8 has certainly piqued my interest! The addition of Lidia and the tweaks to classic costumes for Lee and Steve are always welcome additions in my book.
It’s a small update, but the changes are meaningful if you play Lidia or love classic costumes and hilarious avatars.
As a long-time fan of the Tekken series and someone who has spent countless hours mastering each character’s movesets, I’m always eagerly awaiting updates to keep the game fresh and exciting. While I was initially disappointed when I learned that Patch 1.06.02 didn’t bring any major changes like the previous patches did, upon closer inspection, I realized that it still offers something of value.
In this article, we’ll showcase the fresh additions to the TEKKEN Store and ponder if it’s a wise use of your TEKKEN Coins. Additionally, we delve into the modifications made to Lidia Sobielska’s moveset, examining their impact on her character.
Classic costumes for Lee and Steve
In the heat of the gaming arena, I’ve just scored the latest update for TEKKEN 8 – patch 1.06.02. Guess who’s stepping back into their iconic threads? None other than Lee and Steve! Their timeless costumes harken back to Tekken 5, a nod to our roots that I can’t help but appreciate.
- For Lee he has his 1P outfit from Tekken 5 with leather pants, gloves and an awesome unicorn on the back of his jacket.
- Steve got his Player 1 outfit from Tekken 5 with golden boxing gloves and British-themed boxing shorts.
One new costume costs 400 TEKKEN COINS. The biggest bundle in the game offers 5,500 TC for $49.99.
Shark avatar
It’d be awesome to don this riotously funny Shark outfit for battles in TEKKEN 8! Unfortunately, Patch 1.06.02 has introduced it exclusively as an avatar. But, there are several color options available to suit various characters, which is still quite appealing.
TEKKEN 8 Patch Notes 1.06.02: Nerfs for Lidia
Essentially, altering Lidia’s skill set weakens her character in some aspects, but it’s more accurate to say these changes address issues with how her skills behave, allowing them to function correctly rather than being true “nerfs.”
- Lidia’s 2+3 during Heat and df+1,2 during Rage got the tracking feature fixed.
- f+1+2,3,1+2 deals the expected combo damage now.
- 2 during Horse Stance doesn’t freeze the Heat time consumption.
