As a lifestyle expert with over two decades of experience, I have seen my fair share of celebrity dramas and family disputes, but the allegations against Kehlani by her ex-partner Javaughn Young-White are truly mind-boggling. The claims of a ‘sex cult’ and a home birth orchestrated by this alleged group are not only shocking but also raise serious concerns about the welfare of their young daughter, Adeya.
It’s been alleged that the artist Kehlani is involved in a ‘sex cult’, according to her ex-partner’s claims made in a paternity suit aimed at securing sole custody of their child, Adeya.
Javaughn Young-White, who previously dated Kehlani from 2018 to 2019 and played guitar for her, alleges in his petition that his name was not included on their five-year-old daughter’s birth certificate. According to him, the singer (who uses both they/them and she/her pronouns) gave birth through a home delivery that he describes as being arranged by what he calls a cult.
Over the last five years, I’ve been persistently pursuing a copy of Adeya’s birth certificate and striving to have my name included on it – to no success, as I share with you based on the records acquired by Page Six.
Beyond the allegations made by Young-White, he also claimed his ex-partner briefly denied him access to their daughter, who they welcomed in March 2019, based on a supposed prediction from an individual he identified as a ‘spiritual leader’ or ‘cult figure,’ who he believed had influence over Kehlani.

According to Young-White, Kehlani has declined providing her daughter’s Social Security number to him.
It is said that he grew suspicious as Adeya might not possess a social security number due to his former partner’s peculiar behavior and unwillingness to provide it when asked.
Regarding the so-called “alleged cult with sexual connotations,” he asserted in his submission that she has been associated with it for several years now. Moreover, he stated that this group supposedly exerts control over her actions, including decisions about how their child is brought up.
young-white specifically identified an individual, referred to as ‘Neto,’ whom he claimed acts as a cult leader, as the person responsible for preventing him from seeing his own daughter.
He asserted that Neto expressed a belief, implying Young-White posed a threat to Adeya and might harm her, a concern that supposedly kept Kehlani from allowing him to visit their daughter for several months.
Kehlani’s former partner expressed worries about the impact a person accused of being a ‘cult leader’ might have had on her, since it was reported that this individual, known as Neto, faced multiple allegations of sexually assaulting women and minors.
I was utterly alarmed when I learned that Neto apparently conducted religious rituals with his daughter, with no one else present. Young-White’s findings were truly troubling for me as a fan.
In 2023, on her birthday, I found something significant, but when I tried to get our daughter back, members of this ‘cult’ held me back and made threats against me, according to Young-White.
He expressed worries about his daughter spending unmonitored time with individuals in the alleged cult, which some claim is a ‘sex cult’. This includes a woman who calls herself ‘Messiah’, who is said to have the authority to bathe with his daughter while under the influence of mind-altering substances like psychedelic drugs.
Kehlani’s former partner alleged that when Kehlani is on tour, she entrusts their daughter Adeya to people who are not family or friends, and he suggested these individuals might be part of a group or community, which raised his concerns. He mentioned that Adeya may sleep in the same bedroom as these people, receive baths from them, and often spend time alone with them in this group’s bedroom.
In connection with his application for legal fatherhood, Young-White is petitioning the court to legally establish himself as Adeya’s father on her birth certificate. Once this is done, he wishes the court to grant him sole custody of Adeya.
As a devoted follower of the news, I can share that it appears there might be a child support matter involving me and Kehlani. I have stated that there is a significant disparity in our income levels.
It’s been reported that Young-White is said to have asked for Kehlani to be tested for potential bipolar disorder, but it remains uncertain on which grounds he holds such concerns about her mental health condition.
On Monday, TMZ announced that Kehlani and Young-White were instructed to attend mediation meetings to discuss child custody, visitation rights, and a parenting plan. If they cannot agree on these matters, the court is expected to intervene.
In their 2021 Facebook Watch event titled “Pride On! Kehlani & Larry’s Excellent Pride Ride,” the artist expressed approving sentiments regarding Young-White and their choice to start a family together.
At one point, Kehlani shared that she has a daughter who is two years old. She expressed her affection for her by saying she’s simply fantastic. In addition, Kehlani and her partner are exceptionally close, much like best friends, and making the choice to start their family was effortless because they had faith in each other’s capabilities as parents.
They emphasized that their main priority is working as a united team, and when the opportunity arose, they shared with him that they have recently gained clarity about their sexuality. Remarkably, he has shown tremendous support in response.
